| How will we know if the real Mir is back?
Was that Mir at his best, but Vera was just so overwhelming that he didn't have a chance to let it come through. Or does Mir not have what it takes anymore? What r ur opinions? Is this gona be like loiseau, a talented fighter getting the boot after a couple of bad showings?

I think he'll be remembered more for what could've been, rather than what was. I'm not saying he'll hang up the gloves, but I don't see him as the heavyweight champion anytime soon.

I wouldn't pencil Mir in for a titleshot anytime soon, unless the UFC does Sylvia a favor. But I'm not gonna write him off, completely, he's only 27.

oh yeah, 27 year olds have often passed the pinnacle of their career.
its not fuckin' Vitor here, its a guy just getting back into shape who lost to the guy who is arguably the number one contender, who beat Assuerio, who took Sylvia to a dec, in the first
now that he's in shape, bring him back in slowly, and he'll get to the shot, i can guaruntee it, especially in that weakass division

I never thought Mir was all that good to begin with. At least he came out in good shape this time.

The fact is that he was away from competition for a year or so, and in that year, the competition improved tremendously while he obviously did not. His comeback fight was hard to watch because you just want him to win so bad b/c you feel for him. Vera rocked him because his standup defense was horrible. He needs to get a good boxing or muay thai coach because without a good standup game he's not going anywhere near the title anytime soon the way the UFC heavy's fight.

Mir was a beast before that motorcycle accident. No one in the Heavyweight division even compared to him. But now he just looks like he's lost out there at times. And trying to stand with Vera.....not a good idea.
I'm rooting for the guy to stay around, but after the last fight it sounded like Dana White was pissed off all ready, so I don't know.
