People make jokes about his chin blah blah, but alot of them would have put almost any fighter out. Especially his first lost, a vicious shot and Flying into Fedors right hand with your chin down lol
Shit happens. People get knocked out all the time, especially in a fighting sport with 4oz gloves and kicks, knees and elbows to the head.
Theres nothing to make me think he couldnt hang with or beat the likes of Mir/Kongo/Velasquez/CC and others so id love to see him back in the UFC
AA/Kongo
AA/CC- not the hype it once had, but Id still watch it
AA/ Dos Santos
all have fireworks written on em if you ask me | I'm glad I took the time to read through the other posts instead of basically just typing the same thing more or less, haha.
I couldn't agree more; While I don't see him beating Lesnar at this point, nor do I see him beating Big Nog or Carwin; I definitely think he has the tools to hang with or beat any of the other heavyweights the UFC has at this point. I think if he'd been with the Jackson Camp for a full training camp, then the Rogers fight would've gone done completely differently. I think if Arlovski wants to make a serious run again, now's the time to put up or shut up, and the best way to step it up would be for him to join a serious elite level training camp/team like a Jacksons MMA or ATT, even Xtreme Couture would be beneficial for him. I've always been a big fan of Arlovski's, so I'm hoping he can get it back together and get back in the UFC for one more run at the title, but I don't see it happening unless he gets serious and works with a team for a full camp and on a regular basis.

This would be a great move for him. the guy has all the tools, he just needs to learn to use them in a real gameplan while protecting his face. Hopefully he sees the merit of continuing the relationship.

I hope this gets him back in the UFC. At one time he was a ferocious agressive fighter who would smell blood & finish with a big KO or TKO. He's never been the same since the Tim Sylvia KO. too cautious.

The punch does not have to be a haymaker, it
just has to be properly placed.
I am not claiming that AA has the best chin in mma, just that his recent losses cannot only be credited to his chin.
To play devil's advocate, people ko'd by straight punches:
Big Nog(vs Mir)
Couture(vs Lesnar)
Griffin(vs Silva)
....weak chins, or well placed shots? | Well fedor's shot was a glancing blow. he's also been knocked out by sylvia with a weak shot, all im saying is that his chin is soft, the evidence are in his losses. The guy is a beast and has all the tools to make him a monster in the division, that chin is his achilles heel tho so he needs to work around that.

Arlovski does have a very week chin. However the fact that he never shoots for a takedown makes him so predictable. When you only have to worry about his striking it makes him much easier to prepare for.
Jackson also might be able to help AA's mental game like he did for GSP.
