| Jarad Shaw comes out of hiding-"Can Kimbo be a successful heavyweight? No" Jared Shaw Emerges From Hiding, Tells Kimbo He Should Have Gone Into Boxing Quote:
"Can [Kimbo Slice] be a successful heavyweight? I don't think so. I think 100% he's in the wrong weight class, that's to begin with...But I don't necessarily think Kimbo can get to 205, at 35 years of age, with the wear and tear. It's tough to learn this sport, this sport is a lot different than boxing because with boxing you only have to use your hands. In mixed martial arts, you use your hands, your feet, you grapple on the ground, you use submissions. That is a lot of knowledge to retain, and at some point your body starts to shuts down on you in life...Kimbo's in the wrong sport, there's no doubt about that. Kimbo should be in boxing...If you want to be the best of the best, if you want to make the most money possible for your family like you say, then you probably should have went to the square-circle."
So says former EliteXC VP Jared "$kala" Shaw, who has now been out of the MMA game for over a year, and recently checked in for an interview with Fanhouse. Despite the criticism of Kimbo's career choices, Shaw harbors no ill will towards the TUF 10 star, and is proud of the time he spent promoting fighters like Slice, Gina Carano, and Brett Rogers — and if the UFC or Strikeforce wants to give him a job, he's totally down. It's a more reflective, slightly-less-cocky version of $kala than we're used to seeing, even when he's indirectly taking credit for Gina's budding movie career. Later in the interview, Shaw tells us that his music is coming along, and he hopes to drop it on us next year. Also, Herschel Walker is a joke, and Bob Arum is an embarassment to the Jewish race. Pot, meet thrifty, lactose-intolerant kettle...

Ok, ill save everyone the trouble of posting.
Shut the fuck up Shaw. No one wants to hear what you have to say. Kimbo is training hard, and everyone of his coaches all agree he is making the right steps to become a real fighters. Heres the difference between you and the UFC Shaw. You guys pushed Kimbo into the spot light and shark tank without a floater or sun glasses. And look what happened, your cash cow drowned.
The UFC helped Kimbo, and he got in touch with the right people, and is getting himself the right training. I personally Route for Kimbo. I liked him on youtube, and I liked seeing him come into MMA, but I hated how the EXC pushed him.

I would love Jarad Shaw and Jerry Millen to put all of their life savings into starting up a new promotion, then sign Junie Browning as the star name to build it upon and then I can watch the whole thing collapse.
I mean literally collapse.................. as in the building falls down on all three of them crushing their whiny shit spewing mouths shut once and for all.
Ahh well I can dream.

I only read what was quoted, but for as pompous as this guy is, he is right. Kimbo is too old and too small. Even if he had a ground game, because of his age and muscle mass he would have serious cardio problems. He might have a few entertaining fights, but I think Kimbo will go the way of Houston Alexander if he continues to fight in the UFC.

What an idiot.
He wasn't saying anything like this when Kimbo worked for him.
Basically, he is admitting, his entire show was a crock of shit.
He didn't make any stars. They were all known already, he just signed them.

Agreed. But being an asshole has nothing to do with reality. What really pisses me off is that Kimbo is getting credit for something he could become. A lot of young athletes take the right steps towards being a MMA fighter. So?! All the spotlight is taken by a guy that clearly WONT become a good MMA fighter cause he is too old, and obviously is not getting any better.
I am not saying i hate Kimbo, but looking at him as an interesting character is faaar from saying he is a good fighter. But you cant argue with fools, most of his fans are not MMA fans, they r just youtube idiots.

I agree with this. Also agree with Jared when he says that Kimbo cannot cut down to 205 (or at least would have great problems doing it). I think that Nelson has a better chance of cutting down to 205 if he could lose that 50 lbs stomach, his bone structure and muscle mass looked pretty small for a heavyweight.
