@SickNasty - The reason I had said petty; If the UFC had actually banned both sponsors and for the reason (people are assuming) why they had banned both sponsors. Taking money out of fighters pockets isn't petty in the slightest, although assumingly Clinch Gear doesn't sponsor any current active UFC fighter. If they do, then yeah, that's quite sad. But the only fighter I've heard that they sponsor was Dan Henderson whilst on the UFC roster, and if he isn't on the current UFC roster and none of the active UFC roster are being sponsored by them, then banning Clinch Gear isn't all that a big deal, yet still petty. Banning RVCA is quite ridiculous, though, as I'm quite sure UFC knows that they sponsor their current LW Champion.

Dont blame Dana White, blame Zuffa. Its a group of people who deside these things.
Also, I dont blame them. Why would they do anything to help out a rival company? You would do the same thing. UFC wants exclusive deals, so their brand dosent get tacked over to someone else's when their logo comes up.
Either way, lines are going o be drawn, and everyone needs to pick a side. Thats buisness.

And I can understand that if noone is sponsored by a recently banned company than no one is really losing money. I just had the mind set of taking away a potential sponsor. I guess I'm just biased. But we all are to a certain degree.

RVCA is a rival company of the UFC? They sponsor BJ Penn and Vitor as well. So what will happen with them?
UFC can't keep banning sponsors because they list with a fighter in a different org, that means every time a new fighter is signed he has to change all of his contracts with sponsors.
Banning sponsors, in a sport where just about everyone who makes your company #1 is underpaid...great idea.
What if BJ says no to this? R V C A

Food for thought, the year or so ban of Affliction didn't directly make anyone leave including GSP who was/is one of the faces of the brand

True but also consider that Mousasi is sponsored by RVCA, so I guess UFC isn't really appealing to him either.

What if BJ says no to this? R V C A | I think your under the impression BJ gets to make any choices as to what he is allowed to wear to the cage, and hes not.
If the UFC says they wont promote a company, then so be it. It does suck, I am not saying it dosent, but either sponsor fighters in the UFC, or dont, thats their choice.
I am not saying RVCA is a rival company to the UFC. I am saying Strikeforce is, and if the UFC dosent want a company cross promoting, then RVCA needs to pick a side. Yet again, I am not saying its a good thing, but you need to make the right buisness descisions. Quote:

His bosses have to be OK with it too.
