hey man this is shitty and not good for the sport, cause the ufc cannot have all the fighters in the world in only one company and the fighters needs sponsor to survive, sure the main eventer are fine but the prospect non ufc are not...
it was not necessary for them, just make the fighters and fans angrier

It doesn't make sense. This is the same exact thing. If you want to work with Strikeforce, fine, but then you can't work with me. | It sucks no matter what UFC has done for the sport.
Let's take Nike for example; Nike also sponsors Arena Football. So this is like the NFL dropping Nike from the Sponsors list because they sponsor Arena Football.
NFL would be stupid to do it, UFC is hurting their own people by playing these petty games.

This is bullshit and yet another reason why I won't buy another UFC ppv again.

FYI:
Soszynski and Dave Jansen (WEC) are both Clinch Gear sponsored fighters.
On subject:
At first, this stuff REALLY pissed me off. However, when you put it in perspective, it's not really any different than any sport. Take the NFL. They have a uniform contract with Reebok. Players wear that brand while on the field. No ifs, ands or buts. Same goes for the sidelines. Hell, Nolan even took a fine for wearing a suit on the sidelines a few years ago until Reebok designed one for him. Players who have sponsorships can advertise for those companies on their own time. Same goes for the cage. The UFC regulates the sponsors in a similar way.
Now, I agree with the fact that it is bullshit to cost your fighters money and endorsements. BS.
I agree that the UFC is a monopolistic bunch of SOB's.
I agree that Dana White is a prick.
However, allowing a company that you have a conflict of interest with advertisement time is just stupid.

An another "nice" move by Zuffa/Dana White. I wonder if Strikeforce starts talking about Twitter will that mean they will never mention Twitter ever again on UFC events? |

We dont know the full story.
So, what if, RVCA was renewing their contract with thte ufc, and the demands by zuffa were not what they wanted, there was no deal reached, so now, they cant be a sponser.
You have to look at it from business point, if you think Dana is just not alowing companies to sponser because he is mad at them, your nuts. I ting some of these brands, did not want to pay the asking amount by zuffa because there is another media outlet for them to use, prob cheaper. Everytime a fighter wheres a sponser on their shorts, the ufc makes some money off that, they have a set price, like a news paper ad, if the sponser doesnt agree they dont sponser, done..
Business is business
To say the fighters dont make any money is stupid, 5 years ago, what were they making?
When you go to work today, why dont you tell your boss, I want more money cause you made more money,,,lol...
Ask Gsp, Evans, Penn, Randy, Forest, or any other fighter how they live..
The only ones that complain about their pay checks, are the ones that think they are better then they really are.
I chatted with Jason Macdonald a while ago, and he has a ok life for someone that isnt a main event guy,, He now make 7000 a fight to win in the MFC.. big diffrent from 45000 pluss sponsers..
I know everyone here thinks the ufc is bad, but again, it is a business first, if the fighters dont like it they have options, and if the fans dont like it is a business, they can watch amature sport, .

All of this started because of Golden Palace Casino. Fighters getting it drawn on their bodies before fights. Then the casinos that hold the event got pissed because people who see the fight or see a picture of it, see the fighter with an online casino painted on their body....not the massive casino that holds the huge event....the online casino spends a couple grand and gets huge publicity. And most sports betting being illegal in over 40 states doesn't help.
That changed the business in my mind. When promotions got the ability to tell fighters they can't sell their body to sponsor whoever they want, they have to be approved sponsors.
I don't agree with clothing companies possibly getting banned, but although UFC may ban fighters from wearing specific gear in the ring, I am sure they don't have the right to ban the fighters from wearing their gear everywhere.
