Frank Mir does not want to see Brock Lesnar leave the cage.

The former heavyweight champion said he hopes the ailing champion gets well soon.

Why? He's obsessed with a rematch.

"That's pretty much been my driving focus to go to the gym every day, to change myself and grow as a fighter," Mir said at a Q and A session for the WEC on Tuesday.

Lesnar was hospitalized last week and diagnosed with a bacterial infection of his intestines -- a local news affiliate in Minnesota called it a severe case of diverticulitis, a digestive disease in the large intestine -- prompting the indefinite delay of a title bout with Shane Carwin.

UFC president Dana White on Monday told TMZ that Lesnar might never fight again but appeared to back off those comments in subsequent interviews, saying the champion's fate depended on the severity of the condition.

If Lesnar was out for good, Mir said it didn't matter that his prospects in the division improved.

"To know that there's a possibility that (a rematch) might never happen, that's been taking me a couple of days to try and wrap my mind around," he said.

"It's going to give me a hard time."

He wants Lesnar back because without him in the UFC, Mir's the biggest douche in the HW division. Carwin took the classy route and garnered major DAP in my books.

Maybe Frank Mir should go on another long motorcycle ride to gain some selfperspective and recognize that it's a helluva thing when a world champ goes down via some fluke.

Whats wrong with using a loss for a driving force to get better. GSP, BJ & Brock have done that plus many others. Ya Frank comes off cocky but he has been the best, he pointed out his weakness from the fight with out putting Brock down. If anybody was disrespectful it was Brock. Trash talking before a fight is hyping it up after a fight is disrespectful. I hope Brook gets better for no other reason than I don't wish his problems on my friends or enemies.

^^^There's a difference between a man who's hurtin in a hospital, and a shit talker in the Octagon. There's somewhere where you have to draw the line, and Mir went beyond it.

Brock has a wife, a child, etc! And the only reason Mir wants Brock to get better is for his own gain/agenda?!

What a selfish prick!!!



EDIT: UFC'S LESNAR AT HOME RECOVERING FROM SURGERY

Brock Lesnar was released from a hospital in Bismarck North Dakota and will recover from a bacterial infection at his home.

Lesnar's friend and chiropractor Larry Novotny told the Associated Press late Thursday that Lesnar was home and would not be making any decisions about his career until his health improved.

Novotny's claim was backed up by UFC president Dana White on his twitter account.

"Leaving Bismarck, N.D., right now. Brock had minor surgery and is feeling better," White wrote. "Not 100 per cent sure he is out of the woods but feeling better."

While Lesnar and the UFC have not commented on the specifics of his infection or surgery, WCCO-TV in Minneapolis is reporting that Lesnar had a severe case of diverticulitis, which is a common digestive disease that causes small pouches to form in the digestive system.

Surgery for the condition could become necessary when there is concern that the infection could spread and cause a potentially fatal inflammation.

Lesnar originally was supposed to fight Shane Carwin on November 21 for the title, but that fight was cancelled at the time because Lesnar had mono. The UFC were planning on staging the fight at UFC 108 in January, but with Lesnar's illness the fight has obviously been cancelled.

White told the Associated Press on Monday that Lesnar wanted to thank his fans for their support.

Carwin taking the high road he was bad mouthing Brock for pulling out saying he wouldn't done that. Of course that was before he new how severe the problem was. We will see what his response is now to see were he fits on the road

^^^ Dude, I like Mir, always have! Ever since he broke Sylvia's arm I loved the guy (don't care for that giant!lol). Mir is just so into himself and so full of himself it sick at times.

Mir should know how it is after going through that horrible Bike accident years back, and still, he remains an ass!

BTW, Brock is out of the Hospital, lets hope for a speedy recovery!

That's low. Carwin made his statement before he knew how serious Brocks condition was. I'm sure if he knew then what he knew now, he wouldn't have said that.

Mir is obsessed with Brock period. I would call him a stalker.

Face it, he got dominated BOTH times. The first time he just happened to catch brocks leg.

How do some of you people not get it??? Brock is an Entertainer, this is how he grew to be in the spot-light and this is why he is so controversial, he puts on a show!


If you ever seen interviews with people who know Brock out-side the cage, they say he is nothing like that, he is a very polite and considerate heartfelt person! Why do you think Brock is such a big draw??? Because he is good at what he does, and that's entertainment!


There is a difference between this and a man suffering from health problems. Shit-talk inside the Octagon/ring is a joke, serious health problems is not!
