That's Dana's wet dream.....Dana throws that in there in hopes they bite..Fedor and Dan on a three way conference call so Dana makes a blockbuster offer to get both! He's kinda throwing it out there to get ideas in Dn's and Fedor's head. Heck, I even wish it works!

So from Henderson's perspective is Marquardt, Vitor, Wandy (for example) THAT MUCH better than Mousasi, Shields, Fedor? You could argue over which three fights are better, but the point is they're pretty even.

Yea thats a good point about the contract length, I was just thinking about the more exciting(to me anyways) and challenging fights for Dan, no one likes to see a A level fighter fight sub-par competition.

TBH I never even thought about Fedor, they could deffinatly meet at a Catchweight(or HW) and it would be a HUGE fight for SF. Also very exciting and more competitive then most would think, good fight for sure.

Jake Shields is a semi exciting fight on paper, and a good fight for SF, but IMO Jake's got nothing on Hendo. Hendo is a Much bigger MW, He deffinatly has the wrestling edge, and I cant see Shields tapping out Hendo(you have to train with Nog to do that lol). He also has the superior striking and a granite chin that could take Jakes best shot all day. I see no way for shields to win that fight(IMO of course).

Mousasi is deffinatly an intersting fight., and I may catch some heat here, but I think Mousasi is just a bit untested. The dudes deffinatly a strong up n comer and beat a few good fighters, but what makes you think he can hang with hendo? As mentioned aboved, unless you got SICK JJ, or you win a decision, your most likley not gonna win against Hendo. Id say Hendo via (T)ko or decision personally

So they all sound Ok on paper, but how many of them are really gonna be
A.) An exciting fight and B.) A competitive fight for Dan?. Id say 1 maaaybe 2

Now Marquardt, Vitor and Wandy are awesome on paper, are most likely gonna be exciting fights, and the important part all a true test for Hendo. I rather see him in 3 huge competitive fights, then 1.

In short I just think the toughest and most competitive fights await him in the UFC not in Strikeforce.

The thing that im scratching my head over is, What is this huge # Hendo is asking for? And if SF isnt willing to pay that, the UFC can match any offer SF makes and that kinda puts him back in the same posistion. UNLESS SF says no to his huge demand, but offers him a slightly smaller deal that the UFC isnt willing to match, thats the only way I can see the whole deal working.

I think Dan deserves a pay bump. But nothing crazy, maybe if he would have won one of his first two fights could be different. But he hasnt beaten anyone in the UFC other then Bisping. And Bisping is big because if his name, not his talent. As for Tito, yeah he gets paid well, because he made the UFC so much money, and was their poster boy for years. He earned it, Dan hasnt done for the UFC what Tito has.

As for Hendo's fights in SF. Id like Gegard, and Shields. Even Miller or Diaz. But not Fedor. It would be just like the Lindland fight.

he did beat Rich Franklin too (I don't really think he won the fight but 2 of the judges did..)

I think he could hang with Fedor for the most part, a few fights in Strikeforce before returning to the UFC would be ideal, vs Gegard would be awesome

is dan henderson really wanting to fight into his 40's though? Im sure he could train guys and be just fine financially and i thought i remembered him saying whoever he signs with will be his last contract.

Tito vs Hendo, winner gets/keeps the quarter million dollar contract. And winner gets to get/keep their advertising in the UFC (Clinch Gear comes back to UFC and goodbye Punishement Athletics or vice versa)

I am sure Dangerous Dan is pretty upset about Clinch Gear not being allowed in the octagon anymore. Guess we'll see what happens to RVCA when BJ fights.
