| Here's a good one for you....who's the best? Read to find out
So with all the recent threads about greatest fight, greatest this, greatest that, I figured what if we took a bunch of fighters from the same division but from different time periods (that fighters greatest run) and pit them against one another in a tourny, who would win. This is meant for a good debate if anything. I could do a few of these but I'm gonna start with the HW division and go from there.
*note*
If I omit anyone, simply throw their name in the mix/ make your own tourny bracket. Let the debating begin!
1st Round HW Tourny
Brock Lesnar (From 8/08 - 7/09)
vs Antonio Nogueira (From 10/00 - 12/02)
Mark Coleman (From 7/96 - 2/97)
vs Bas Rutten (From 4/95 - 7/06)
Mark Kerr (From 1/97 - 1/00)
vs Randy Couture (From 10/00 - 11/01)
Ricco Rodriguez (From 11/99 - 9/02)
vs Igor Vovchanchyn (From 1/96 - 5/00)
Dan Severn (From 12/95 - 11/99)
vs Brandon Vera (7/02 - 11/06) Tim Sylvia (From 1/01 - 9/03)
vs
Josh Barnett (From 6/01 - 5/04) Fedor (From 5/00 - 11/09)
vs
Jeff Monson (From 7/03 - 7/06)
Mirko Cro Cop (From 5/06 - 2/07)
vs
Pedro Rizzo (From 10/96 - 2/01)
2nd Round Antonio Nogueira (From 10/00 - 12/02)
vs
Bas Rutten (From 4/95 - 7/06)
Randy Couture (From 10/00 - 11/01)
vs Igor Vovchanchyn (From 1/96 - 5/00) Brandon Vera (7/02 - 11/06)
vs
Tim Sylvia (From 1/01 - 9/03) Fedor (From 5/00 - 11/09)
vs
Pedro Rizzo (From 10/96 - 2/01)
3rd Round Antonio Nogueira (From 10/00 - 12/02)
vs
Igor Vovchanchyn (From 1/96 - 5/00)
Brandon Vera (7/02 - 11/06)
vs Fedor (From 5/00 - 11/09)
Final Round Fedor (From 5/00 - 11/09)
vs
Antonio Nogueira (From 10/00 - 12/02)
There you have it. Feel free to pick apart my post, im bored and wanted to get some debate going.

No AO or AA
And what made Vera make the cut?
All and all not a bad bracket though.

Vera made the cut because during that time frame, he was DESTROYING everyone in his path, and doing so in devestating fashion. Watch his 4 fight win streak in the UFC when he entered and then ask me again. I wanted to throw some different names in there and that's why AA didn't make the cut. And AO is a very over-rated HW fighter. Who has he beaten since moving up?

True I had almost forgot that Vera had that run.
I see your point on AO. Great striker though

Good effort dude, major props for the effort, and it was a great effort.
-Thats a TOUGH first rd. draw for Brock! Prime Nog out of the gate beats almost everybody though I guess
-I got Cro Cop beating Rizzo.
-I think Vera is a little overrated, expecially at HW. Put AA there instead, and this list is complete.
