| How does Sylvia get $120k?
I was just looking at the fighter pay for UFC 65, and I couldn't help but notice that Tim Sylvia got $120,000. The person nearest him, Matt Hughes, got only $75,000. They're obviously not paying based on excitement if Tim's getting that much, so anyone have any ideas on why the big discrepancy?

Because loyalty pays... This is common business.
Also, if they pay him shitty Pride will pick him up and he might be exposed. If he is exposed, he will expose the UFC HW division.

Yes as a Pride fan, I agree with your theory.

I would think Tim was payed more bc he won and Matt did not. Matt maid over 100 grand in his fight with Royce so I assume he still has a win bonus in his contract.

Yeah but I would still expect Hughes to make more than GSP even in a loss bc Hughes is more established. But I see what your saying. You just never know with the UFC and their pay scale what they are thinking.

I'm sure GSP'll be getting a payraise now. Or come next contract negotiations.

I think GSP has only one more fight on his contract, so I'm sure his paydays will be taking a respectable leap upwards in the near future.

At least no one was shoving a can of Xyience in Matt's hand after the fight like they did with Franklin.
