| Vera beating Tim & Chuck is very hard to imagine
Vera beating Tim & Chuck is very hard to imagine. But beside's that I don't think you guy's are giving Tim enough credit. Everybody said Monson would leave with the belt and he didn't even though it was a pretty terrible fight. Tim is a much better fighter than mostly everybody in this forum makes him out to be and I think he'd beat Vera.

Vera has better standup and does better on the ground than Tim so I would definitely give the edge to Vera.

Well, the more i think about it who the fuck would that be? He beat Mir.....so who's next? The ufc heavyweight division is a sad sight.

vera does seem to get the edge standup wise. he is very aggressive.
maybe it is true that tim is not championship material....and i think it is kind of sad that the best match up they could give him right now is a man very out reached at five foot nine. and now all they have left to feed him is an up and comer brandon vera. there is nothing left to offer in that division. it is sad.
but tim does deserve a little bit of credit....he does seem to be improving other aspects of his game. his sprawl looked great.....and his ground game didn't look too bad at all.....(for a shrek lookin guy...lol!)
but i think that vera vs. silvia would be a pretty good match up. tim is gonna be hard to take down because of his strength and heigth....he's got reach....and vera is just a tough dude. i think it'll be a great match up.

Despite the only few number of fights I've seen of Vera, I think the guy definitely has talent. The way in which guy wins his fights does matter and he was very impressive in his fights.
One thing about Vera is that he can stand up or go to the ground, whereas Monson was purely one dimensional. Vera's ability to strike with Sylvia will allow him to take him down if he chooses to do it. I personally think he can outstrike Tim standing up.

I just see Vera coming out and popping Tim with those lower leg kicks and basically making Sylvia fight. I think it would be fun to watch! Vera hasn't really disappointed yet so I doubt he would freak out in this fight. Obviously, I pick Vera to win this fight too

Vera is new to mma, hes a good fighter, but still needs to work on things, he is one of my favorite fighters, but looking at his fights yes he is an amazing fighter, but at least the man was realistic when talking about fedor, he said in 2 years tim he would like to be able to fight or beat fedor, i mean look at tim he was like ill beat him now, yes vera is cocky and somtimes that we be the downfall of fighters, if he can keep it in some kind of check then he will be ok, but most fighters cant keep it in check yet that has to be seen, Veras chin has not been tested yet, if it comes that we fight out he has a solid chin, then he will be even more force to be reckon with, and as far as aa goes , we know he is a good fighter, but with a piss poor chin, but he does hold that ko power that will put fighters down, until we see veras chin tested we cant really give a good outcome of the fight because a leg kick from vera will put aa down and one of his combos will to, but il give the fight a 50/50 chance at either fighter, and vera to beat tim will come from the leg kicks, if he uses them alot he will hurt tim and be able to pretty much do what he pleases with tim, but if he cant use those kicks he might be in trouble, as for 2 belts let him win 1 belt then see where he goes from there, id love to see him fight chuck, and until again we find out about veras chin we wont know, but as it looks vera is more well rounded then chuck , so again ill give it a 50/50 because if vera can out strike chuck, chucks fucked because brandon has good ground and everything else, so again i say 50/50 until it actually happens

What happened.
Now vera is beating chuck.
Come on, who's his best fight yet, a ham mir?, or someone sylvia made look good.
Yea, arlovski has a chin like a school girl
If randy can't get chuck down i don't think vera can
