I can agree with that. My point Brandon not afraid of tim, He can go 5 round if he needs to. And if you meet him you,d know why he,s liked by most everyone he,s a fighters/fighters- The costs to these fighters is Large , Managers, Travel,Trainers, Promotions etc. on top of morgage,taxes, insurance--They may love to fight but have a life outside of that

Vera is without a doubt one of the best personalities in MMA. Afraid of Tim I seriously doubt it.

i like vera a lot, but an exhibition match just sounds silly to me. as for people flaming him because he's afraid of going five rounds or was afraid of mir, take this into account: mir was his idol when he got into MMA. mir was a dangerous heavyweight, so of course he's gonna be afraid. and vera hasn't gone 5 rounds before. i don't think he's even gone three. he can train all he wants and think he's ready for five rounds but he'll never know until the actual fight goes five rounds and he doesn't really wanna take that chance. and with tims reach and NOT-Killer instinct, he can make sure to jab vera and keep him at bay for 5 rounds.

i agree that you should always be ready for anything... but i can also understand that if you feel you AREN'T... it's scary to think you might get this ONLY shot at a title, and you're not ready..
i know he'd take the fight regardless against Tim.. so we'll see

Why should Vera be worried about going 5 rounds? It's not like Sylvia goes the full five at a non-stop attacking pace.

in the ufc, Brandon hasnt gone past 2 rounds, and i seen him in a interview said he wasnt scared of tim, and then that interview cruz did with him he said he wanted to chop tims leg off, so i dont think he is scared ofhim, and a exib fight with chuck isnt a bad thing, if he really said that there were other fighters that deserved the belt before him thats class, all he wants to do is fight the best and right now chuck is the best at 205, and the scared to go 5 rounds is crap, he might think he cant go 5 rounds because his cardio isnt the best but i dont believe that, no fighter wants to go 5 rounds they want to end the fight as soon as possible, any fighter out there would rather end the fight in the 1st round then go to dec, i like vera hes funny and has class, if he turns down the title fight id respect him even more because that would show he knows he is not ready. that takes alot for someone to admit when there not ready and try later then go in there not ready and look bad

Brandon Vera seems to be a very humble guy. I wouldn't take that as being weak though. I know he said he was scared to fight Mir but he has always looked up to him! Mir, back a few years ago, was a BAD MAN! I've got all the respect in the world for someone with his kindness. Hell, I recently heard of him selling his shirts on his myspace page. The one I wanted was already taken down. I sent him a message asking if it was possible to still get one but didn't really expect a response from him. He actually did respond and went out of his way to make sure he got me what I wanted. The guy is really a Class Act in my book!!!
