You get time to recover if you are hit in the groin. The rules do not specify the strike has to be to the testicles. He got kicked in the groin, the groin shot just happened to cause pain in his legs.

That's weak. How does groin shot hurt your legs? If his nuts weren't hurting, then he shouldn't have acted like his nuts were hurting. Anyways, whatever.

It was an illegal kick to the groin, it doesn't matter if it did not hurt his groin becasue the effected area regardless of where it maybe, was the cause of the illegal kick, therefore Hughes gets time to recover.

Also, if after the second kick landed on the cup and shot the pain through his legs and he grabbed at a leg, the ref would not have stopped to give Hughes time to recover so in order for him to recover from the illegal kick he had to play it off like it hurt his groin.

The big picture here is that the 2nd kick hit the groin and shot the cup into his groin and it hit a nerve and shot a pain down both of his legs.

We do not need Hughes actually stating word for word that the groin strike shot the cup into his groin and hit a nerve as it is logic so we can easily decipher that a kick to the groin is going to send the cup into that area which in this case, caused a nerve reaction.

hughes said it was his legs that hurt not a groin shot, so what are you talking about, i didnt hear anywhere where a shot to the cup sent a pain in his legs, get real hughes went down and pretended like it was a nut shot, that is weak, regardless he did lose the fight and some respect from fans

He said it was a pain in his legs, YES, no one is arguaing that.

A kick to the groin shot a pain through both if his legs as the cup went into his groin when it was kicked which pushed the cup into his groin and hit a nerve which shot a pain down both of his legs, not A LEG, BOTH LEGS, listen to it agian and again and again if you must, it is tricky wording on Hughes part but from what he said and my knowledge of Hughes and knowing his personality from his TUF coaching I would find it highly unlikely for Matt Hughes to ever admit to anyone about cheating, think about it.

are u serious? have u ever been hit in the nuts the pain spreads out and it hurts all over lol. not to mention it a big guy that kicked him.
