I kick to the groin when his cup is protecting his groin is obviously going to make contact wiht his cup, it is common sense you silly little sloth, that is why Hughes did not mention it, he figured anyone listening would have the brain capacity to understand but apparently it missed you.

im a huge matt fan, but those kicks didnt effect the outcome at all he had his time to recover, the first one hit him and slid up, and the second i dont even rememeber, but gsp beat matt fair and square, i never liked gsp but after seeing how dominate he was i have alot of respect for the man now, i think he will make a great champ

Certainly no excuses, Hughes got his ass handed to him, ample time to recover and those kicks were not like Wand kicking Yvel in the groin, they are given as much time as they need to recover (up to 5 minutes I think) and Hughes was fine after a minute or less so the kicks did not bother him all that much, I think him getting picked apart bothered him a lot more.
