Accusations of having a suspect chin are abound (after being KO's by Machida and wobbled by Thiago) but bottom line is -- The dude has a record of 14 - 1 - 1. Not too shabby. People want to say his striking isn't that good, please. It's good enough. His wrestling seems pretty effective although he needs to work on his GNP. Maybe it was the size disparity. He was tiny HW and a small LHW so maybe Thiago was too much to keep down. With that being said, if you belive Rashad didn't do shit to Thiago on the ground, Thiago definitely didn't do shit on the feet OR the ground until the 3rd round.
And let's be honest. Every keyboard warrior with a hard-on for Rashad would have thier cotton panties in a wad and their skirts all ruffled if Rashad pulled the same taunting antics Thiago pulled in the 3rd. I had no problem with it but the hate would have been there.
For once the judges got it right.
And for the record, I thought the new ring girl was attractive. Personal taste I suppose. | Agree with 99.9% of your post (Rashad is my favorite fighter, I'm somewhat biased). Homegirl didn't have enough ass for me though. The UFC ring girls almost always have flat bootys.

Wow everyone is looking WAY TOO FAR into the Silva fight lmao. Silva is STILL A BEAST. He had a serious back injury, and I am not using that as an excuse, but it probably made it harder for him to train, which would lead to lackluster conditioning. The guy has lost 2 fights, calm the hell down people. One in which he got caught with a sick counter, and the other in which he was outwrestled. Big deal. There is no reason to freak out, seeing as how he has ripped through everyone else. He is still in there with the elite of the division, so move isn't necessary, he just needs to work on TDD. And as far as Rashad, I hated how he fought, but I would have done the same thing if I was him. I thought Thiago was going to knock him out before the fight, and I was almost right, but he stuck to the gameplan until he had to receive some showboating which was pretty funny by the way. Rampage versus Rashad should be interesting because, IMO Rampage is NOT a better striker than Thiago but he has as much power, so it will be interesting to see how the fight plays out. I am pulling for Rashad because of how Rampage has been acting lately, and if that wasn't reason enough, I can't wait to see him go on another crazy car ride after he loses. The man has more drama with him then a group of high school girls

LMAO wow thats a good one man, i absolutely cannot believe what some ppl write on these forums, it baffles me to think that their really are ppl out there that felt that that was a solid fight card (granted all of the injuries) and Thiago is worth mentioning in the same sentence as Rampage, WOW!

I agree with fishy, that whilst UFC 108 was in fact a solid card (the majority agrees whilst a few, very few at that, doesn't), it could've easily been a free PPV aired on Spike. I didn't care either way because money is made of paper, not human flesh.
You can't say the PPV had solid fights yet say it was a weak card, lol. That's like saying UFC 108 was exciting and entertaining yet it was a weak card.. oh, wait.. they both mean the same. Ironic, isn't it? Quote:

I've been having money issues lately so I ended up skipping 108 and for the first time in at least 5 years I didn't watch a ufc ppv live. While this is my fault cuz of low funds, you can bet I would have found a way not to miss this show if it had a better card! I know UFC is doing their best, it was a cursed card as it is, but please show some respect to the people who might not think like you. I've been there man, UFC night with friends, drinking, smoking..... Its a social event right? Every UFC event is "solid" because of the people we share it with and good times had by all. But there are some bitter people out there who sit alone in their rooms with their wrestling trophies and medals hanging on the wall, picking fights on message boards...They might not appreciate having to shovel out 50 bucks for that weaksauce of a fight card so they have a right to complain.
Aight?
now be cool | No thanks, I'm straight. I can't say the same for her, though.
Look, I've said it many a time that everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but calling a MMA card or UFC 108 for this one topic in particular a shit card is rather disrespectful towards the fighters and not the promoters and/or match-makers. You're calling every fighter that fought on the UFC 108 card shit, practically. Not saying you as in you, but I think you get what I'm saying here.
As for the retard that I had told to leave, it's clear that I wasn't actually serious per usual and it's clear that he didn't take it serious because well, he continues to post, even well before Pamela felt like swooping in like SuperGirl, or something. If he wants to be a drama queen, then by all means, carry on. He.. or she, is the only person who took my post both serious and personal, yet it didn't even concern her, lol. And if he's as old as he claims then he'd know that VHS tape existed back in 1993 and that I didn't change the subject because well, I had quoted his 20 page essay of rage. PAMELA SMASH!
The end.

I think Danas post UFC 108 interview responded quite well to those who talked shit about the card. For those who didnt catch it he pretty much said, "Blow it out your ass" in a nutshell. YouTube - Dana White and James Toney
