| Gomi/Florian Maybe? Jeremy Botter (botter) on Twitter
Damn I called it but I really didn't think Dana was going to make it happen this soon. This is such a good matchup in my eyes but I'm not sold on in being #1 contender worthy especially in Gomi's case but hey a new contender I guess means better ratings.

I would bet a billion bucks that Dana and ZUFFA can get a surefire MAIN EVENT out of Diego/Florian 2, while Gomi's not a terribly household name stateside, so my money'd be on that prior to Gomi-KenFlo.
Personally, I'd love to see Gomi take on Joe Daddy for his intro fight, maybe Frankie Edgar or either Griffin or Gray(whoever doesn't get the title shot). Just please don't feed him Sherk!!!!

| If the Pride version of Gomi.. damn, that's getting really old, eh?
Gomi would/will brutually run over Florian. And that's all I have to say about that.

Would rather see KenFlo/Edgar and Gomi/Stevenson. Winners and loosers face off. Hope Gomi can turn back the clock, or hes gonna be fighting Uno on the prelims.

I think if Gomi properly trains for the fight, he'll wreck Florian, even worse than Penn. That's of course, IMHO. Then again, I'm a huge fan of Gomi whilst not a fan of Florian, so I could just be biased here, lol.

So a warm up fight would be good to get his feet wet, and give him a better chance of going up in the UFC. IMO |

anderson silva and quinton jackson did well in their first fight with the ufc. both won titles in their only second fight with the ufc. i do get what youre saying but i dont think it had anything to do with transition.
im glad gomi signed with the ufc. and whom ever he fights it will be win/win for the ufc. if he wins he will remain marketable in the asian market. if he loses or goes on a 2-3 fight losing streak then ufc can market their 155 division as the best in the world. hope that wont be the case though because i like gomi and wish him the best.
