As soon as Strikeforce and Dream did their co-promotion deal I kinda threw out any chance of seeing Fedor or any of those guys in the UFC anytime soon. Strikeforce basically doubled their roster in a second as far as being able to put on shows goes. My only thought is that since the titles/ranks seem to still reside in their respective promotions, being Strikeforce and Dream, that the title holders themselves might get bored of having so few decent title fights. I mean after Hendo, who's Mousasi gonna defend against? It will be like Overeem fighting non ranked matches against Dream fighters. Good for the fans but I can see the fighters themselves eventually questioning what the hell they are doing.
At the same time though if I was a champion in a smaller promotion I would imagine that would be the best time to negotiate with larger promotions for a good deal to progress in your career. This has to be going through the mind of Mousasi as well. Only time will tell, I assume Mousasi will fight Hendo soon and then once his contract is up we will see what happens. Fedor on the other hand boggles my mind still. I think he's actually a robot that is controlled by his little entourage that don't want to see their creation ever lose and will never take a risk like going up against real competition.
