WWE lets wrestlers go. TNA got Hogan, foley, and flair. Big fucking deal. Vince could walk into a TNA locker room with his check book and end TNA in one fell swoop.

WWE RAW averages 3.0 - 5.0 ratings, but this past Monday night they drew 6.0, and they can thank Bret Hart for that. They'll easily outdraw UFC Fight Night next monday, because well, RAW will have Mike Tyson whilst UFC will have Maynard/Diaz. Now, if UFC had huge names on the monday card, then it would be a differen't story. Regardless, UFC slaughters WWE in PPV buyrates.
Anyway, class move by Dana White. Unfortunately, he'll more than likely not recieve the same form of respect ala Vince McMahon. Rightfully so, UFC have been murdering them in PPV buyrates.
MMA and Pro Wrestling are two differen't subjects, by the way.

MMA and Pro Wrestling are two differen't subjects, by the way. | WWE Raw averages closer to 3.2. They haven't seen a 5.0 rating since 2001. This past Raw with Bret Hart drew a 3.6 rating while TNA drew a 1.5.
Back during the Monday Night Wars in the late 90s, both WWE and WCW drew combined Monday night ratings of up to 10.0+

There doing this to fight TNA for ratings not the UFC.
Dumb move on the UFC and Spike's part to try and schedule a Fight Night on a Monday when your gonna fight for the same demographic as wrestling. Could have easily done this any other night of the week and pulled in better numbers.

Back during the Monday Night Wars in the late 90s, both WWE and WCW drew combined Monday night ratings of up to 10.0+ | I meant 6 million viewers, lol. But yes, you're correct. Although from what I was just told, their 3 hour special a few months back drew close to 5.0, 4.something would be more accurate, I guess.
The monday night wars was immense, both wCw and WWE drew huge numbers on Monday nights. That was the era both companies went all balls to the wall, man. That was actually a good time to be a wrestling fan. Today, though, not so much. John Cena kills it for me.
I've actually not kept up with it the past few years, atleast not religiously like I used to do when I was a child.. trying to keep up with it as an adult these days makes me feel a sad soul, lol. But hard not to hear about it when you have a shitload of wrestling fanboys for friends
