Nate needs to actually put together a game plan, and moving up is not the answer. Maybe it is. I know he trains hard, has a great team (Nick, Gilbert, Jake etc...), and possesses the skill to achieve.
Is there something in the weed?

Are you kidding me? Nate can barely compete with the LW's in the UFC let alone any of the WW's. He has absolutely no power in most of his punches, and he throws sloppy.. he did land quite a few of his strikes, but they just have no power in them.. and did anyone see him hit Gray with that headkick?? He might as well have been tickling him with a featherduster. I dont even think Gray realized he got kicked in the head. If he were to fight in WW, he would get KO'd so hard and we would never see him again. His only strength is his jits, which he cant even use against anyone because he cant take anyone down who is bigger than him or is a wrestler. Gray threw him around like a ragdoll when he tried to clinch with him, imagine what a WW would do.
What Nate needs to do is invest in protein shakes and Muscle Mass supplements.

Since he already cuts a lot of weight to make 155, he would have to fight at 170. See where the idea of going up in weight comes from?

Yes, what I meant was regardless of what he decides to do, he needs to put on some muscle. ...but if he cant even beat up LW's effectively, how does he expect to do anything in WW?

He's really not very defined, probably around 10-12% body fat. He could trade off a few lbs. of fat for muscle and still make 155.
More than worry about moving up in weight he needs to work on his judo and wrestling so he can get fights to the ground. He's not knocking anyone with a good chin out anytime soon.

If he moves up and gets his ass beat....fine with me. I'm just glad he's out of the title contention range I'm sick of his boring ass. He has to make up for lack of exciting style by trash talking. Can't respect that....He's the master at pulling guard and spreading his legs high in the air that's about it. However, I would be interested to see him fighting in the WEC...

He looks more well suited to move down in weight rather than up. I also think he beat Maynard who is "in line for a title shot" which is complete bullshit in my opinion. I would also take Diaz in a rematch.

Sort of reminds me of an early Nick Diaz (I know they are brothers - let me explain) he has a heavy Jitsu base and hasn't really worked much on striking or wrestling. I believe Nick has and it shows in his last 3 or 4 fights.
I think Nate will get better but with time. LW is best for him.
