|  Shinya Aoki released from instructing at his own gym following DREAM antics

On the Paraestra Tokyo (the gym which Aoki belongs to) website a written message by higher-ups Yuki Nakai and Taro Wakabayashi relating to Aoki’s actions after his fight with Mizuto Hirota on NYE was posted today.
As the leaders of Aoki they apologize to everyone involved and as punishment Aoki has been dismissed from his role as an instructor at Paraestra Tokyo. He will also accept any punishment from the organizations involved.
It’s a little hard to understand but you get the gist.

I've always had a ton of respect for Aoki. Tons of respect. But what he did after the fight was shameful. I just shook my head with disgust. I thought he was above antics like that.
I'm glad someone is holding him accountable and I hope actions like that are treated the same way in the future.

Did he ever come out with a reason for the flipping of the bird?
Was he just pissed that he had to break the guys shit off or something? or maybe something was said to him?

yeah, granted I thought Brock Lesnar's actions were ridiculous after his fight with Heath & Frank I don't see Aoki's being that big of a problem.
Honestly I thought it was pretty funny.(flipping off the audience was a little uncalled for though.)

i agree, for people who have never fought, you cannot possibly understand the adrenaline and rage you have before, during, and after, a fight. and the thing is that he was fucked either way. for instance, i had an armbar in a fight one time, and it was real tight, and the guy was no chance to escape at all, so at the point i started cranking harder attempting to break it, the ref stopped it and then guy got pissed that the fight was stopped without him tapping, so no matter what aoki did it wasn't going to look good for him, no one wants to break bones, but when a guy is refusing to tap you can't hold the guy doing the hold accountable, the guy should have tapped. now flipping the corner men may have been different but from personal experience after my fight was stopped his corner started screaming shit at me, so who knows what they were saying aoki, love him or hate him he can say whatever he wants because he can back it up.

This is actually quite the shite news.. I misread the thread title thinking it said 'released from DREAM', lol. I was going to come in here and say 'hey Dana, get him and then feed him to B.J. Penn'.
