Sure lutter has brilliant bjj, but i believe he's not able to apply it properly to mma yet. His transitions from one submission to the next are slow. his control on the ground is pretty good.

Yes I believe so. I'm not saying Penn is not all that because I think he is. Penn is all around great and a much better wrestler then Lutter. All Lutter has is BJJ and he been lighting it up. And to all the haters: read what a wrote, I never implied Lutter was as good or better the Gracie I said "since Gracie." 99% of the people here will disagree with me on my thoughts with good reason. His submission skills are tight, but he's slow. If you learn to sprawl against Lutter, the guy's got nothing going for him.

You have a good point about the slowness, but in regards to the outside accomplishments they don't hold much water in MMA as far I'm concerned. If that is and inications of anything fighters like Koscheck and Randleman would be fighting much better then they have.

Lutter has some great BJJ, don't get me wrong. He's just not on BJ Penn's level when it comes to qualifications.

That was then and this is now. I don't know where you've been but you are aware that Penn took a few years off don't you and Lutter has been training his ass off. Anyways why are we talking about Penn vs. Lutter? It's a stupid pointless conversation that has nothing to do with what I was talking about. But for the record: There are two major aspects to BJJ- Submission and Submission Defense. My point is Lutter is great at submissions. Who would win in a BJJ tourni is kind of pointless because that's not going to happen. Stick to the thread and look cool doing something else. Besides what do accomplisments outside of MMA have to do with MMA. Incase you don't know they are different sports.
