Strikknucklez is on a distinguished road

Default I have a feeling Lutter might pull it off...

I was watching an old A. Silva fight on the fight network and although his stand up was dominant as usual, he lost the fight cause of his ground game. Albeit he probably wasn't a BJJ Black belt yet (or maybe he was) but he really didn't do anything to better his position and took a lot of punishment.

Bottomline he was outclassed on the ground...

Travis Lutter is a stud when it come to BJJ plus he seems to have unshakable patience which leads me to think that he might just be smart enough not to go toe to toe with Silva and just get the takedown and work submissions

Lutter by decision?

No chance. He will probably get Ko'ed. The last time anderson got submitted was by the craziest and fastest submissions ever (flying heel hook)

The UFC sure hopes so, so they don't have to bring in Lindland, then Franklin can have his title back, lol

However I think even Lutter knows he's dead

the last time he fought a strong ground fighter was Horn and it went to a decision. Silva has a weak ground game, its not a secret (regardless of the color of his belt). Maybe he's improved and I'm sure we'll see if he has or not when he fighters Lutter. However, the more I think about it, the better chance Lutter has (though he'll still probably lose but at least Lutter isnt stupid enough to try to strike when his ground game is a lot better).

I don't see Lutter having a chance. Also, I'm sick of people saying the UFC doesn't want Silva having the belt, you don't know that your just assuming, so unless someone has proof then get off it already. No matter what people say Dana White is a fan first and just wants the best fights possible.

I don't know why everyone thinks The Spider has some terrible ground game, he has lost 2 fights by submission (one being that crazy flying heal hook...so that doesn't even count) His opponents may get the better of him on the ground, but only one opponent (Takase) has been able to sub him. Silva is a very well rounded fighter and I do not think Lutter will be able to handle him. It’s a fight, so anything can happen, but I think Silva by KO R1

I agree with this as well its really petty and give UFC and WWE kinda vibe which is just stupid Silva won fair and square and was quite gracious in winning...

only if he pulls of a scissors heel hook.
Lutters take downs not fast enough to take him to the ground.
K.O. first round.

Lutter doesn't stand with anyone, it's just a matter if he gets caught with a punch while going for the takedown that's the main factor. I see him losing because of this, but you never know.
