GSP, on his own, has a very deep toolbox. Paired with the mastermind Greg Jackson just makes GSP scary. Only after GSP lost to Serra did he pair up with Jackson, and I think as long as these two are a team, I wouldn't be surprised if GSP doesn't lose again, at least as long as GSP is healthy and a WW.
Is Hardy deserving? No, not ahead of fighters like Fitch who deserve a rematch more than Hardy deserves his 1st shot. I understand the UFC wants to show fresh matchups, but it is not always fair.

Yea, cuz Nate is an expert in defeating champions. Of course GSP is a better fighter then Hardy. But it's not like GSP has ever been upsetted as the WW champion....oh wait....
If you guys completely write off Hardy, then do so at your own risk. And really, who else can they put in there at WW? Maybe if they AKA guys would fight eachother, we would have a more definitive contender, but they don't, so we have Hardy. Winner of Kos/Semtex will get next crack. Then probably Fitch if he beats Alves.

If they made Koscheck number 1, there'd be complaining. If they made Swick or Alves or Fitch, same complaints....it doesnt matter. There'll always be a debate as long as there is such a gap between GSP and everyone else. Same issue with BJ, Anderson and you may even throw Brock in there. Hardy would get his shot eventually. Now is as good a time as any while the rest of the WW division gets sorted out. Swick was prime for the spot and Hardy dominated him. I have no problem with Hardy getting the next shot. Did anyone REALLY think Leites deserved a shot vs. Anderson?

I'm not toally writing off Hardy though but, on paper he's as good as done. As long as GSP can get settled in and find his timing/distance (if he cooses to stand) I don't see Hardy having much luck (especially if GSp wants the fight on the ground). If it's gonna happen, it'll be similar to what Serra pulled off. Lets hope not

I see what happend to Fitch happening to Hardy.. Only thing that scares me is GSP will not be able to KO Hardy... N if hardy connects it could be over...So look forward to another GNP beating by GSP

I really believe that people like Bill Murray or John Belushi are just as great and just as valid as Robert De Niro or Al Pacino. And I don't think you can say One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) is a better movie than Animal House (1978); they're different genres. I think they're both examples of great craftsmanship.

I agree, I'd prefer to see GSP win but if he loses I want his challenger to dominate him the way GSP dominated Hughes to win the title. A lucky shot is a brutal way to lose the title.

I think Hardy was above all the other contenders when they decided to make the fight, he dominated Swick bell to bell. I don't think any of these guys are ready for GSP but the UFC gotta make their boy fight and Hardy was standing above the rest at the time.
I was thinking if Kos beats Semtex, GSP might make his move to 185, no ducking involved but I think it's similar to Anderson in there being no motivation. If Semtex wins however, I think he will fight Semtex then move to 185.
