For me actually Brazil is the country that has the best fighters:

Anderson, Shogun, Wandy, Thiago Alves, Thiago Silva, Nogueiras, Jacare, Cyborg, Machida,Belfort.

All of those are Top fighters. And I can name at least 10 more with a pretty decent level.

I think that was bad grammar on the part of the article's author. What I think that s/he meant to say is that Brazil has the 2nd best fighter (not fighterS) in the world, Anderson Silva. Assuming Fedor is number one right?

It's not like the UFC won't accept bribes. Look at the Olympics. They accepted bribes up until the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City. Why do you think that in my lifetime, the US has hosted the Olympics 4 times (LA, Lake Placid, Atlanta, Salt Lake) And in the Olympics they have to at least pretend that it is a democratic decision.

For the UFC, they don't care, they just want the money.....they want the money and don't want other people trying to take a cut of it.

Montreal nearly fucked the UFC with their rule changes. Germany tried to change shit last minute too....made it 18 and above only. Imagine that with a language barrier (most people in Mtl are billingual) and different levels of government and TV contracts and deals, and everyone needs work Visas, advertising, etc. I can't imagine what last minute changes they would want made in Brazil or China (which are both still 2nd world countries....holy.....Brazil is actually labeled as a 3rd world country)

I see the UFC doing 1 or 2 fights outside North America a year (probably 1 or 2 in Canada each year from now on)

I am sure they could go to most countries in the world and sell out....anywhere that can sell out a boxing event, can sell out a UFC event.....but I doubt they will have events outside first world countries until they need to.

I think Brazil should host it before any of those countries. And they are on the Eastern time zone, or close to it. So the start time wouldn't be a problem and the PPV would be live. Hell do an all Internation Vs. Brazil card, that would kick ass.

Imagine this for Brazil:

2010: World Cup in Brazil
2011: UFC
2012: Olympics.

actually im just waiting to find a girl to marry so i can go to brasil those years to watch the world cup and olympics! lol

and the world cup in brasil is actually in 2014 and the olympics in 2016.

we are actually only 3 hours difference the most. sometimes just 1 hour. would be perfect for a ppv, unlike japan's 5am shows.
