| Dana White Not Moving UFC 113 Event On May 1 Despite Possible Mayweather vs. Mosley F Quote:
Posted by MMA Waves on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 5:00 pm
The UFC and boxing could once again be going head-to-head on May 1, as UFC 113 and Mayweather vs. Mosley are currently targeted for that date.
Despite recent speculation that UFC 113 will be moving to another date in May, UFC President Dana White told the Las Vegas Review Journal, “We are going May 1st still.”
This would be the third time that the two sports go up against one another with big events. The most recent head-to-head battle was on September 19, with both UFC 103: Franklin vs. Belfort and the Mayweather vs. Marquez card being held on that day. The estimated pay-per-view buys were 375,000 for UFC 103, and over 1 million for Mayweather vs. Marquez.
UFC 113 will take place at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The event is expected to feature a main event light heavyweight title rematch between champion Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, along with Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Rashad Evans, and Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley.

I think UFC will have much better ratings.
Machida vs Shogun is much more interesting to watch than Floyd vs Mosley. Its obvious that Mayweather is going to win.

Yea I dunno which one I would watch though being fans of both sports. Since the UFC PPV comes on back to back I would probaby be greedy and just stay up and watch the 2nd showing late.
I can't miss a Mayweather fight.

I can't miss a Mayweather fight. | Just avoid the internet at all costs. I recorded the Henderson Varner fight, sat down to watch it booted up my laptop to check my email, forgot I had MiddleEasy.com as my home page. Kinda ruined it for me.

Ha-ha, that's what I was thinking.. unless something happend over the weekend. Then again, the title does state 'Dana White Not Moving UFC 113 Event On May 1 Despite Possible Mayweather vs. Mosley Fight'.
UFC 113 is stacked and i'll order that PPV for sure. As for the Mayweather/Mosley fight, I'll definitely watch that one, illegally, lol. I think it's quite the predictable fight, though, that Mayweather will more than likely school Mosley. Also, I don't much care for Mayweather, only time time I ordered a PPV with him was against Oscar Dela Hoya, and the only other time I'll order another Mayweather PPV, is when he grows a set and fights Manny Pacquiao. Anyway, I definitely can't miss Machida/Rua II. And the other listed fights too. Fuck Mayweather.
Edit: Not to be a dick, but it's buyrates, not ratings, lol.

I'm sorry but if these events happen on the same day the Mayweather vs Mosley fight will kill the UFC ppv buys. Mayweather v Mosley is the next biggest fight in boxing besides Mayweather v Pac. I am a die hard fan of both sports but if these happen on the same day I am watching the mayweather v mosley fight first.

Mayweather may beat Mosley but he won't school Mosley. It will be much like the DLH fight. Floyd safely manages to win a close 7-5 encounter over 12 boring rounds. It's going to be as boring as the DLH fight.
And I honestly believe if DLH wasn't shot and inactive, he'd have taken care of Floyd. DLH only fought for the money and even still gave Floyd all he could handle. Floyd is overrated. I'm going with Mosley in this one.
