It wasn't that long ago, but long enough that it's possible for him to have made serious improvements. I'd say the best way to describe it is unproven, or at worst, suspect.

Suspect sounds about right. Although that's not what the majority are saying in this thread.

now for my post. i think kos CAN beat daley. i dont think he will though. i think he will want to prove he can stand with daley and semtex will ko him. after that id love to see daley against fitch winner gets gsp. if fitch loses to alves i still think we should see daley vs fitch and alves could fight gsp again or maybe mike swick. the reason i do not want daley vs alves just yet is i think daley needs to go through a strong wrestler who will wrestle and not stand and bang like kos probably will

Kos striking has come a long way in terms of his striking, but if he is really smart, he should utilize his wrestling against Semtex. Wrestling is Semtex's fatal flaw. But I'm pretty sure Kos would like to be arrogant and try to out strike a striker, but I can see him falling asleep.

I'm not sure why everyone thinks Kos has something to prove on his feet anymore. I think that chip got knocked off his shoulder when Paulo Thiago snapped that curly blond mop off the middle of his back with that uppercut. Against AJ people all said the same thing...He would be too stupid to use his bread and butter against the bigger, faster, better striker in AJ....and when Kos didn't like the shots he was taking, he took him down, and choked him out and proved everyone wrong.

Daley's wrestling and TD defense isn't even in the same galaxy as AJ's. Kos wins this one easily. With Daley he has more than a punchers chance because I do think he is far sharper on his feet than AJ.... but I say Kos wins this 7 out 10 times. He's just too well rounded and Kos always comes in shape and has shown a tough chin. I think the second he feels uncomfortable or in any apparent danger standing.... the fight hits the mat

Not at all. My exposure to Daley has been limited to his fights in the UFC. The only thing I know about his game is that hes good at standup like AJ.

If he cant wrestle though Kos is gonna take him down just like he did with AJ and pound out a ref stoppage/verbal tap out. If all he brings to the table is a 1 dimensionstyle GSP will neutralize him like he did Thiago Alves.
