30 is kinda young but you also have to factor in how long he has been fighting. If he retires at 30 that would be a 10+ year fighting career. That's pretty long. If you start fighting at age 26 you could do it till you're 40. Or like Randy, started at 33... and is 46 now.

How rad would that be if in 3 years he fought Fedor(even though their friends), beat Fedor then Fedor retired & Mousasi says: "Fuck it, ya know what I just beat Fedor. I'm gonna retire early."
hahaha.
OK neither of those would be awesome, but it would certainly be funny.

Would love to see a Fedor Mousasi fight someday. Surprised he wants to go up to HW. Pretty interesting plan he's made though and we'll see how it pans out.

Half? I would say he can beat almost all the LHWs in the UFC. A match between him and Machida would be just epic. Other than Machida, maybe Shogun and Nogueira could beat Moussasi. But IMO he would beat all the rest.

wow, mousasi is becoming highly over-rated. he beats soko and babalu so he can beat the top 205 guys in the ufc. i dont get why he would move to heavyweight, hes too small for it and would have to fight freakshow fights in dream.

Its a bit of a stretch to suggest anyone within the current LHW picture could beat most of the rest. As we have seen these last few years the talent level is just too good to predict outcomes. The only one that came remotely close to that prediction level was Machida and it took all of 1 fight for him to come back down to earth.

I dont Gegard Beating MOST of the lhws in ufc. Sure, he would be alot, but i could see the likes of Machida, nog, page (if he could avoid some leg kicks) giving him a world of trouble, let alone if that one guy from middleweight ever wanted to come up and fight em, I think anderson would dummy him. He is very young, and has a very bright future, but i think we should give him a couple tougher fights before we praise him as the next best thing.
Oh, and is his name really pronounced Gayhard? Word?

Like some who have already posted, I think that people might be overestimating Mousasi. He's a good fighter, but I've certainly seen him get into trouble in a few of his fights, where his opponent really should have finished him. I think the UFC is a notch above all other organizations in regards to the level of talent they attract typically, so until he proves himself in the UFC, I will not buy into the hype.
