| Forrest Griffin: "That's a horrible fight for me" on fighting Lil Nog. UFC Quick Quote: Lil' Nog is a 'horrible fight' for Forrest Griffin - MMA Mania Quote:
"That is a horrible fight for me. I have trained with his brother a little bit, so he already has the 'inside scoop' on me, he's a southpaw, has got a good chin, and has good power. Plus he is pretty solid on the ground. The only place I would have an advantage would be wrestling... and my wrestling is not that good. So yeah, that’s a tough match up for me. I'd do it, if that’s what they wanted, but being straight up, there are other guys I'd rather fight."
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin tells MMASportsMag he isn't exactly warm and fuzzy over his planned match up against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira UFC 113 event from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on May 8. Perhaps Griffin is still a little weary of Brazilians after the clobbering he took against Anderson Silva last year -- is it that a loss to "Lil' Nog" could send him tumbling down the 205-pound rankings? Unfortunately there is very little margin for error in this division. Where does Forrest rank before and after the Nogueira fight?
| I dont like the sound of that...Forrest is already damning himself.

WOW and DAMN.
Ummmm, I completely agree with Forrest here and it sucks, but he's really going into this fight against a guy with much more genuine tools and the ability to just destroy him in basically every aspect of the fight.
With that being said, you really gotta wonder WHY Forrest takes this fight given what we know, when he could've waited a bit longer and maybe taken a Wand, Franklin, Randy, Jones, Vera fight, which would just matchup with his style so much better. I know he's a gamer, but this is like a feeding a lamb to the lions.

IMO, I think forrest is a bit of a bitch for theese comments, smart man who know's he's beat but a bitch, If it wasnt for forrest being a gamer who's willing to fight anyone n possibly come out on top, He simply wouldnt be the forrest we all adore, I believe this comments should hurt him as a fighter largly...not taking away from forrest he does fight beasts

i wouldn't call him a bitch. he's always been honest like that, and he knows when someone has an advantage on him.

This is just typical Forest being modest hoping Nog will take the bait. Watch Griffin show up with his A game and if he doesnt hes counting sheep... nite nite.

Yep, Forrest always uses self-deprecating remarks. It's one of the qualities that endears him to so many fans. As well as always putting forth tremendous effort and usually having an entertaining fight!

i agree with roadawg one hundred percent this is just typical forrest being honest and we all know he wont turn down this fight, he'll still come in all heart and preparation, the fighter that has me worried is vitor i dont like the way he is more concerned with silva's feelings than wanting to be a champion again, vitor and forrest are in my top 10 alltime favorites but i wish they were showing alittle more hunger right now if you know what i mean.

when he fought shogun he pretty much had the same attitude...........and he shocked us all.
when he fought silva, he said he thought he could beat him and got destroyed.
so yea im still taking forrest in a suprise victory in this one. he fights his best when he thinks he cant win and just goes out there and fights
