It's funny, I remember people saying the same thing about Brock Lesnar too. I say don't talk crap until they lose. Lashley is actually doing it right and he's getting crap for it.

I don't get it, this guy wants to work up and get better and has never claimed to be the best, yet people call him a joke because he has not face top tier competetion? You know what is a joke, people who yell at Brock for going right in there and not working up to people yelling at Lashley for working up and not going right in there, that my friends is big joke.

I think he was on the right road but if he does get brought up to face these top guys he may or may not do well i think the latter. It is in his best interests and the fans best interest to wait for him to build himself up.

The problem is some fans tend to be selfish and value their own self interest over the fighters. It's the same reason "some" fans want to see Kimbo and King Mo fight guys who have a good chance at literally obliterating them at this stage in their career. This isn't a Bobby Lashley thing.

Also let me clarify that im not blaming Lashley for anything. I'm simply answering your question on why some fans want to see him step up in competition. My personal opinion is that he needs to step it up but I dont care to see him fight someone that King Mo just ran through. I do however want to see him fight another good wrestler on his level if not slightly better. The reason being is im hoping the wrestling aspect will be somewhat neutralized so we can see other parts to his game (if he has it).

That is just my personal opinion though.

ummmmmm if gsp stood toe to toe with daley then he would get his head knocked off. im pretty sure semtex has better striking that matt serra. gsp has good striking, but to say he can outstrike anyone in the ww is not true

The last time GSP fought purely on his feet he got KO'd by a lightweight... I think his stand up is quite good, but if it weren't for his double legs he would not be a top fighter.

I agree with the people saying that Lashley did not bring this on himself, that he seemed to be quite pissed off about how he got his opponent like 1-2 weeks before the show, and that the fight was incredibly easy. If they want to bring him up slowly, that's fine, it's just a different approach. But I get the feeling we are going to get the Bisping talk about Lashley if it continues. Like how the UFC brought up Bisping slowly to build their market in the UK, and now Strikeforce is doing the same with the very popular but untested Lashley.

i have no idea what the hell Sims was doing in that fight! he was very out of shape and probably hasn't trained in a while. so why even bother to fight? I'm sure they didn't pay him much but even at that the stoppage was premature! another thing that I LOATHE about Lashley he fought NO ONE thus far who is a real MMA fighter, give him whitehead, followed by AA, followed by Rogers and THEN maybe Fedor. but I still think Big Foot should come before the word "Fedor" comes out of Lashley's mouth
