| Forrest Griffin... Forrest Griffin is 13-3-0...beat Bonnor on steroids...ate forearms from Ortiz...came back and I feel he won the fight [if Ortiz fights this poorly, he has no chance againist Liddell] Griffin has great stand-up and cardio...his jaw is made of granite...I'm not sure of his ground game...he could give Liddell quite a fight... |

first time ive posted here but I've read these forums for months. Forrest Griffin, should he win agaisnt a very tough Jardine, should be in line for a title shot agaisnt Liddel. Both are Sprawl and Brawl type fights. Forrest has no where close to the power chucks has but enjoys getting hit....could he tire the champ out? sure...tough chin, pepper him with punches....couldnt take him down but could score striking points standing. I believe Chuck would get the best of him because Forrest can only eat so many punches, and Chuck throws the biggest bombs, but I believe yes, it would be a good fight, and I would love to see it. Also, Tito should fight Rashad next.

Forrest will get pushed up for a title soon (if he keeps winning) since there aren't too many contenders and he's got alot fo fans. Stylistically though Chuck is a bad matchup for him. Forrest has a very open style where his boxing isn't very technical that works for him because he has the heart and mentality to take a couple of shots in order to dish some out. Normally that would work fine but Chuck only needs one clean shot to end the fight. Forrest would match up much better against Tito, as we've already seen somewhat.

I like Forrest but i think that Chuck would eat him up. He likes to stand and bang too much and that is just what Chuck would want. As for the Forrest/Tito fight, wasn't that Tito's first fight back after being gone for a while?

I was hoping to see Rashad vs Griffin, i think that should have been the next match up after Rashad beat Bonnar
Griffin vs Chuck would not be good for Forrest, he'd get eaten alive

Hmm....a puncher against a punching bag. Forrest would be blown out in no time. He hasn't faced a puncher/striker near the level of Chuck. No chance he could win. He would be outclassed quickly. I think Vitor would blow him out too. Tito was pretty banged up against Forrest and looked pretty bad.

Forrest if a tough guy with a good chin ,however, I do not see him lasting past the second round against Chuck.

He said at the end of his last fight he wasn't ready. Hopefully we'll see a different striker with some power behind it. If he gets by gardine i say he should get a title shot. But that leaves rashad out in the cold in my books. I say put rashad against Bisping. If bisping wins his next fight. Theres no doubt in my mind he's going to win but you never now
