| Wanderlei - Planning to win; Hendo style. Quote:
As new fans discover Pride Fighting Championships with the new series on Spike TV, some are being exposed for the first time ever to some of the most exciting fight and brutal knockouts, many of them courtesy of former champion Wanderlei Silva.
The "Axe Murderer" was a major part of the Pride puzzle for many years, and he's hoping to capture some of that spirit when he returns to action in Australia to face British fighter Michael Bisping in the co-main event for UFC 110.
A confident Silva says that he's studied Bisping's game over and over again, and he knows that he's found the formula to knock some of the swagger out of the former "Ultimate Fighter" winner.
"I've studied his game, I know all movements, I'm ready for him," Silva said recently in an interview with MMAWeekly Radio. "I feel great. I feel my technique growing up; my cardio is amazing. I feel really, really, really good."
One fight in particular that Silva has watched several times to prepare for the upcoming bout is Bisping's knockout loss to Dan Henderson at UFC 100. The former Chute Boxe fighter says that game plan worked perfectly, and he may just do the same thing.
"Henderson gave me the way to beat him," Silva commented. "I'm going to try to copy Henderson. I know the way to beat Bisping. I have a good game plan."
For the fight with Bisping, Wanderlei went back to his roots in Brazil by bringing in former Chute Boxe head coach Rafael Cordeiro to work with him and lead his instruction heading to Australia. He's also added some top-notch training partners as well.
"I came back training with Rafael Cordeiro again. Cordeiro's my head coach," said Silva. "Cordeiro gives me the opportunity to work with a lot of good guys in his city, because he has a gym in (Huntington Beach, Calif.), MMA Kings, and there I train with (Fabricio) Werdum, Babalu (Renato Sobral), I trained with King Mo getting into positions off of wrestling. It's a great experience for me training with these guys."
The work with King Mo could be a big key in this fight. Silva believes that despite statements Bisping would stand and trade with him, he's got another idea in mind.
"In his head he thinks he's going to get me with the takedown and want to fight me like he did in the second round with Denis Kang. It's not going to happen," Silva stated. "He's going to need to fight with me in stand-up. He's never going to take me to the ground. He has maybe one or two takedowns, a double-leg, and one other takedown. I've had a great opportunity to train with real good names, real good friends."
With a new career about to start at 185 pounds, Silva is confident going into this fight, but he's not calling for a title shot or anyone in particular if he wins this one. He has one very simple goal in mind.
"I just want to fight," he stated. "I don't want to talk about this or about that, because I need to prove all again and I'm going to prove that I'm ready for this."

I love how Silva gets juiced for every fight. I would say that most fighters get exited for fights but Silva is always pumped.
The only thing I can say about this fight is that it really depends on changes that Bisping needs/needed to make due to his loss to Henderson. Silva says that he his game plan is based primarily on Henderson's victory. If Bisping has improved his footwork and can avoid that big shot then we could see real battle.
I think that Bisping has really been humbled since his fight with Henderson, and that he has stopped running his mouth as much, but I would still like to see Wandy come out with a decisive KO. Gotta love Silva.

I'm pumped for this fight too. Silva's always fun to watch. My only concern is that he doesn't follow the exact game plan Hendo executed because I doubt Bisping will play into that again. Then again, if Bisping does do that then he is deserving of the massive KO loss that I'm hoping for.

I think Silva has the perfect style for Bisping. Bisping has been gun shy at times and Silva can be very aggressive. I would be surprised if Silva doesn't win by KO.

Gotta go with Silva on this one. KO or TKO 2nd round.

Wow it seems like the folks over at MMALINKER think that Bisping is going to TKO/KO Wandy. I don't know how many Brits belong to that website but I think it's funny they say Bisping will hurt Wandy. The same W.Silva who has 2 wins over Rampage Jackson. Who has Bisping beaten that actually had a name? I am sorry but just beating Dennis Kang and beating Matt Hamil over a terrible decision does not make you anywhere in the same league as "The AXE Murderer". I think we will all witness a glorious knockout by Wandy. If Wandy keeps training with Anderson Silva I predict bad thing's happening to the other contenders in the Middle weight division.
thank you
