**Signature Guidelines - Please Read**
 

It seems like as of late the size of signatures is getting way out of hand. We have people with sigs that literally take up my entire screen. Come on, seriously?

I was one of the admins who didn't really believe we needed to enforce limits on size, but the last 2 or 3 months, I feel like I come on here, and deal with moving 1 or 2 threads, closing 1, deleting a few posts, banning a spammer..... and changing/contacting people about 200 signatures. It is getting to be too much.

For those who I know will skip everything I just said above:

The signature limit is 3 MB in size and 16 lines pictures and text (MEANING THE WHOLE SIGNATURE SPACE, Not just your picture) in height.

That's it folks. It needs to be about that, and that is more than enough. Some people have massive gif files that take forever to load, or have 4 gifs in their signature, and that is why we have the 3 MB limit.

If I see a ridiculous sig size from here on out, I'm not even going to contact you, I'm just going to remove it. It is common sense that a signature should only be so big. Maybe one day we will remove these limitations when things are little less out of hand. Are we going to measure sigs? No, but it should look like 16 lines or very close to it.

My Sig was a little to big...like 20 lines so I took it off.

I took mine off for a cleaner look.

Since I started blocking images, I have hardly noticed.

Someone sent me a PM about width. Generally, we don't want the width of a sig to be much bigger than a normal user post, as to not add a scrolling bar on the bottom of the screen.
