| Bored With The UFC???
Am I the only one? I truly love MMA. I buy every ppv that's available. But i'm sitting here on a Saturday, and I haven't even ordered the UFC ppv yet. I will... I think. But i'm very apathetic to it. And now with the Anderson Silva fight changing, another thing to be less than thrilled about.
As most of us know, some of the undercards and lesser known fights often are the best fights on the card. But in the past there were fights I just HAD to see. I couldn't wait. I'm not feeling like that anymore. Cain and Big Nog as the main event? Really? Couture vs. a man who almost looked as if he was wheeled to the cage as the main event? Really?
I don't know. I can't put my finger on it, but i'm losing interest, and I watched the first ever UFC live on ppv, and every one since. But i'm starting to feel as though the matchmakers aren't interested in what we the fans really want to see.
Sure I want to see Wand vs Bisping, and lets face it, i'll get the ppv again, but am I getting to the point where they need to sign the fights we really want to see. Fights from this sites dream fight thread for example.
I'm bored. Anyone else, or am I just a curmudgeon today?

Have you read anything i've ever posted? I'm an avid defender of the UFC against the constant attacks.
I apologize for not being enamored by a main event that would have been interesting literally 10 years ago.

What's wrong with Cain vs Big Nog for the main event? I'm stoked to see that fight personally. Should be interesting

Should be interesting | Fair enough, I understand some being interested in that fight. But Cain couldn't finish Kongo, and I still think Nog has to beat Mir before he can be number one contender, so I don't think it's as relevant as some may have you think.
By the way, it's not the fight itself that's a bad fight, but the fact it's a main event. I'm not a huge fan of non title 3 round fights that may not have contendership ramifications as the main event on any card unless it's a "super" fight.

But still 3 fights from a title shot or anything huge :/
To their credit, these guys work hard. And often have good fights regardless of who their booked against. But it definitely feels like we're waiting for months to see Tito vs. Chuck in a "who gives a shit match" more often than not. Can we get Anderson vs. Wanderlai already? Can we Forrest vs. Chuck? Can we get Jon Bones vs. Anthony Johnson? Something that gives us that "uh oh here we go " moment. It takes too long for that payoff.
As far as tonight goes, the Nog fight should be really good, but its hard to be that excited when the payoff could take up to another year. | This is a great post, and i'm glad you posted because I guess perhaps people could misinterpret my thread as a bash the UFC thread. And it isn't. I love the UFC, and I also respect anyone who gets into a cage or ring. So i'm not bashing, i'm just wondering if anyone else feels the matchmaking for Main events in particular could be better. To keep us excited enough to continue to get every ppv.

No boredom from this guy!

Anyway, its hard to put on nothing but spectacular cards with nothing but big names. I'm just happy there is a consistent MMA promotion that actually has the ability to put on a show once or twice a month. And every now and then we do get a stacked card. So I'm not complaining.

| lol i'm sure you know what fight I was referring to. How about the last ppv with that huge main event. Coleman vs Couture. Wow what a fantastic main event. Two guys in their 40's.
