Mir is doing the Chael Sonnen and saying anything to hype a rematch with Brock. I would take anything he says with a grain of salt.
What i wonder is how all this added weight is going to effect his subs if at all. I'm no BJJ guy but i also thought that flexibility was a huge part of jiu jitsu? Can you be that huge and still be flexible?
I still think Lesnar rapes his face if they fight again but it sure does make the fight more interesting with Mir being on the Overeem diet.

And if you are bulking up in the correct way you can add mass without losing speed, flexibility or endurance. As someone mentioned he has a new nutritionist, and new strength and conditioning coach, along with a new boxing coach. This what I think is going to win the fight is his standup.
If he can use his size and technique to keep the fight standing I believe he will out strike Lesnar. Couture was out striking him till he got caught with that big shot, and Lesnar's chin hasn't really been tested.

You know the guy is a non-stop tabloid. He just doesn't STFU..ever.
Although I like him as a fighter and respect his abilities, he helps me route for his opponent each and every time. He crosses the line WAY too often.
Someone should tell him its a cage too BTW not a ring. This rambling was all too familiar the last time around as well before Lesnar vs Mir II. Frank ate his words that time and didn't learn his lesson. If number III comes around for him, he might just end up in a loony ward after their next match up.

LOL again this talker.
Before talking about Lesnar, he should first concentrate on Carwin.

I highly doubt he is 290 lbs. If he is, there is no way it can all be muscle as at UFC 100 I think he was only 245, granted he may have cut down for that.
Even if he did put this amount of weight on, I don't think it's going to help him as much as he thinks it does. I think his best bet against Lesnar is to work on his takedown defense, conditioning, and continue to improve his striking. I think speed would be more important for someone like him than strength would be, as he's probably going to be slower than he was in the 2nd fight and then get taken down and at that point his strength is not going to matter.

His gastank just got good. That big of a cut can kill your gas.

If this is true Idk if this is a good thing for Frank. To gain all that weight and they have to cut it. Frank has never had to cut weight for a fight. The weight cut might affect his questionable cardio. Yes I know Frank has seemed to have good cardio in his last couple fights but how long did they go? The Nog fight was over in the 2nd round and Lesnar pounded him out in the 2nd also. The Kongo fight didnt even go a round. So IMO this could really hurt Mir when he gets in the 2nd or 3 round.
Say what you want about Brock but he is a superior athlete. The guy has strength power and quickness and is also used to cutting weight. The only thing you have to wonder is if his stomach condition will have any effects on him cutting weight. I really dont see it affecting, Regardless of who Brock faces I think he is going to win his next fight.

Well Frank Mir must have a nutritionist that not even the people that are pro bodybuilders have access to if this true, lol. It would have been very difficult for someone of Frank's age to add the amount of muscle he did between his last two fight without superior genetics or just newly beginning a weight training program for the first time in his life. The thing is he actually looked leaner at his higher bodyweight. A feat that is even more difficult. If he did go to 290 and is not completely out of shape and carrying quite a bit of fat then that is a 35-40lb gain of qulaity weight from UFC 100. Hmmm, maybe he just became too obsessed with Brock for his own good.
