To be fair to TUF, I think it opens up new fans to the UFC. The fighters on the show aren't the best but it's give casual viewers an opportunity to discover MMA and then they can get to know the better fighters.

TUF helps MMA, no matter how you dice it up. UFC's PPV has went from 120,000 buys in 2004 to over 750,000 buys a show in 2006.

It also helps get new fighters into the mix. If anything UFC has more money now to get the big name fighters and they already started with A Silva coming over.

A bunch of exciting fights exist at LW, WW and MW for the UFC. LHW and HW are the suck tho.

The Ufc Needs Some Top Qwuality Hw And Lhw, They Need A. Emelianenko, Both The Nogs, And Maybe Even Rampage!!! That Would Mix Up The Hw And Lhw Fights

i agree with you that vera will most likely beat tim. but i don't see aa/silvia 4. i think that arlovski will beat vera and reclaim the belt.

aleks isnt coming to the ufc, it was just that one article that said he was in talks, in talks with who, that source wasnt reliable, so im not even going to start to think about him coming in until i see some proof. vera winning would make the hw a little better for a while because he is a more interesting fighter then tim, and the lhw isnt that bad off but its bad enough take the belt off chuck and you have a world of better fights with chuck they all get ko'd, you take chuck out, you have tito vs who ever, forrest rashad renato bisping once he proves him self if he does, there are just more possiblites and more match ups if chuck dont have the belt, but still need a few new lhw, maybe 2, and hw needs about 4

I'm not opposed to Vera i actually kinda like him. But if he is half the fighter some of you guys on this board are hoping and praying he is...i'd say in all honesty it'll be just enough to make Tim actually do more than Jab and he'll put Vera to sleep.

Like it or not... Sylvia walks through the HW devision just as he has thus far...boring (i agree the last 2 fights have been for certain.) but decisive wins none the less on every account, exciting fights included.

Sylvia wins by Nite-Nite. And i think AA comes back with the thunder in #4.
Vera is good this will be a great test for him. Win or lose UFC has to do something witht he HW devision, Vera, Sylvia, Arlovski... ahem... then what?

But it doesn't stop there... all Devisions need some Pride contenders... money money money! We know it's being made...time to pay some fighters...

Vera is the fighter most of his think he is, ADCC credentials, very good Muay thai background, and a brown belt in BJJ he is what people say he is.. a great fighter, better standup then Tim Sylvia may ever have.
