Mirko vs Nelson its an idea that I actually like.

Cro Cop is much much better in the stand up and his takedown defense is unbelievable, so I think Mirko would destroy the fat guy.

CC knew the fight was over from the cut...if it was not stopped by the cut the hippo would have been so weak from bloodloss that the HUGE LHK was not need. Why hurt the hippo when you have already won the fight?

I'm a big fan of the "Kill a fly with a sledgehammer" theory of sports. No letting up, no mercy. If he really did go easy on him, I think thats a poor mindset. If he comes with that weak shit against Rothell (or whoever he faces) he's gonna wake up on his back with Herb Dean standing over him.

I feel like its the same thing if you knock someone out and don't jump and keep pounding on their lifeless body. If you won you won and there's no need to cause serious harm to the other fighter.

I only put any stock into this based on how Cro Cop was fighting and standing. Whenever he hurt him, he backed off, and he was kind of just walking with his hands curled up between his pecs.



On a side note, I was very happy to see Cro Cop "basically" end the fight with an elbow. At the very least, he is adding more weapons to his arsenal and adapting to the UFCs rules.

its believable. he did appear to back off after the cut. even if this is true it doesnt really mean anything. so he held back against an over matched opponent, doesnt mean he is back to old form. i still thing he is better than all the gate keepers just by natural ability but against the top tier i still dont see him dominating or winning. the match against rothwell tells us more about ben than crocop imo. i would like to see a rematch against GG. GG stays on the cusp of contention. a good solid win against GG would show us what crocop really has left. right now though, imo i dont think crocop stands much of a chance against cain, lesnar, dos santos, or even nog or mir................though another fight with nog or a fight against mir is something i would love to see

I completely believe Mirko. When we were watching the fight, we all kept saying, "either he's injured or just taking it easy on this guy for taking the fight on short notice...." Classy move as always from Crocop.

id rather see cro cop vs. anderson silva
both dont have to cut weight and with cro cops
take down defense it will turn into a k-1 festival.
