Jason "Mayhem" Miller's popular MTV reality series, "Bully Beatdown," will return for a third season later this year.
A source close to the TV show confirmed the renewal with MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) on Tuesday.
While details about the third season are scarce, the source said Miller returns as the show's host and that the pro-fighter-vs.-bully format will remain largely the same.
During each 30-minute episode of the show, which debuted in March 2009, a bully victim contacts Miller, a professional MMA fighter currently under contract to Strikeforce, for help. An MMA fighter then competes against the bully, who receives cash prizes (up to $10,000) for surviving a round of grappling and a round of kickboxing with the pro.
MTV has aired 16 "Bully Beatdown" episodes over two seasons, which ran from March to April and August to October of 2009.
Fighters such as Strikeforce champion Jake Shields, Bellator champ Eddie Alvarez, Michael Westbrook, Tony Bonello, Conor Heun, Jon Murphy and Thomas Denny have taken part in the show, which has earned mixed reviews from MMA fans.
Regardless, the show, which is executive produced by reality kingpin Mark Burnett, garnered immediate attention when the series debut emerged as the No. 1 rated program in its timeslot among male viewers from 12 to 34 years of age. The ratings have remained solid in key demos.

I figured....if anyone watched KOTC Vengence there were Bully Beatdown logos in the ring, hosted by Miller, he mentioned something about Bully Beatdown coming back and KOTC is now also part of Mark Burnett's family on HDNet.
I was really impressed by Mayhem's announcing. I think Bully Beatdown has made him less of a one liner type guy and really helped him develop into a guy who can help commentate a full MMA event....as well as showcase himself and other fighters to the mainstream and people who don't follow MMA at all.
Sure, the show is mostly a joke and people on the show are coached (not for training, but coached to say specific shit and setup scenarios) but it's always fun to watch shit talkers act as MMA fighters sparring dummies....I've only managed to sit through 4 or 5 episodes...well....actually watched the end of 4-5 episodes....maybe only 2 episodes all the way through.

Anyone else want to see Hendo on the show? I think that would be awesome.

I really enjoyed Mayhem's commentating of Dynamite!! 2009. He should replace Goldberg.

The "bullies" are actually stuntmen.
If you pay attention to the "bullies" you'll notice some that are familar from movies. There was one guy in particular that I had seen in a low budget Martial Arts movie a couple of years back.

There was one guy in particular that I had seen in a low budget Martial Arts movie a couple of years back. | Some aren't stuntmen....and you must be using that term loosely. I just remember the popular one that was on some other MTV reality show....like The Real World or something.
The thing is, it is not wrestling. These guys are sparring at full strength.
Fake isn't the right word. The MMA fighters know they are fighting amateurs but in the shows I have seen, they don't hold back. For some of the MMA fighters it might be their only chance to showcase themselves to a international audience. So, it's not like they are calling out what punches they are throwing and gives are taking dives because they have been told to.

yeah without knowing the info that lordpyro provided i liked the show.. it was pretty entertaining.. i mean some of the things Mayhem did in some of those shows would've probably gotten him arrested if real but I digged it man.. even if i was a stuntman i still dont think i would want to take one to the chin from Arlovski!!! But good stuff i hope some more known fighters get in on this in the new episodes, props to Mayhem!!!
