Damn, talk about a disapointment. I was really excited to see Hendo and Fedor on the same card. It seemed like the April card was shaping up to become something nice too. This has to be the biggest ball drop thus far by Strikeforce. Their last CBS show was very entertaining, but waiting until May to have another card on prime time just seems way too far apart.

If they're only going to have a few real cards a year, then is it too much to ask to have more then one good fight on each. anybody can say shit about the UFC having shitty filler ppv's, but at least i don't have to wait four months just to see dan henderson and jake shields. and then another four months speculating whether or not overeem is going to actually defend his title, meanwhile fedor gets another year older while i sit here twiddling my god damn thumbs.

Also of course this is just a rumour but I have read in another forum that SF is planning Overeem vs Rogers for the title.

....IMO if Fedor fights Overeem first for the title I think this was M-1's decision. I'm sure they are pissed off that this will be his second fight and still not for the title......but if he does not fight Overeem it's CBS/Showtime controlling how SF puts their card together.

Just strip him of the title already and put together some sort of tournament. They're drowning themselves without any heavyweight title fights, and a nice Multi-card tournament type situation could really bolster their ratings and popularity. It keeps people watching.

....they should just make Werdum-Fedor for the title in April. Then once Overeem is stripped he might finally come and fight ala Cung Le. SF could have Rodgers fight Overeem in May....and the Winner fight Fedor. Problem solved. I should be SF's matchmaker....lol.

Fedor should fight Werdum on CBS...Alisatair Overeem should fight some other contender for the title... Most likely, Fedor and Overeem will come out on top and also had won in dominating fashion/ dramatic fashion...then that will build up to a title shot for Fedor and it would be a big showdown once again on CBS...

or

Fedor should fight Overeem in the soonest CBS card for the title...

up to this point, Strikeforce has been doind well and delivers exciting shows...then just mess up when booking fights and having champions not defend the title...

These guys behind the promotions need to bring in new talent, this includes the UFC. "All" the fighters contracted represent like 4 or 5 countries... Why don't they recruit fighters from like Thailand (where kids grow up doing Muay Thai), or just hire someone to travel the world looking for fighters... I believe this sport is evolving and the best is yet to come...

I've said for a very long time that when Fedor loses, the rematch gets many, many more viewers.

If a fighter loses one fight, he could have had a bad night...so there will be a ton of people tuning in to see if he comes back strong or if he is really on the decline.

GSP vs. Serra is a good example. I don't know the figures off the top of my head, but I remember the rematch doing much better numbers despite having a weaker card.
