Some of you are nothing but haters.
Other people Antonio has fought other than Karo:
-In his first fight he took on Shannon Ritch (everyone should know who he is, with over 100 fights)
-Edwin Dewees, TUF flunky, fought Rich Franklin, Trigg, Santiago, Lebe, last big fight was against little Nog in Affliction
-Ray Cooper (been in a few Rumble on the Rocks, beat Koji Yoshida, Hermes Franca, losses to Shields, Hallman, Trigg)
-Toby Imada (beat Jorge Masvidal in last years submission of the year with the inverted triangle, lost to Eddie Alvarez after that, beat Zach Light)
-Marcus "Maximus" Aurelio after Antonios loss to Karo, he beat Aurelio by split decision....Aurelio was in 6 Pride events and 6 UFC events, with wins of Rich Clementi and Takanori Gomi
-Joe Camacho, not the greatest, but has wins over Zach Light and Thomas 'Wildman' Denny and a draw to Mike Aina
-Kiuma Kunioku, draw with Sean Sherk, fought Nate Marquart 4 times ending with 1 win and 1 draw vs Nate, beat Genki Sudo, draw with Shonnie Carter, beat Koji Oishi who beat Nate Diaz
-Ronald "Machine Gun" Jhun who was once pretty good with wins over Joe Daddy Stevenson and Shonnie Carter and Ryan Schultz and Pete Spratt, but has lost his last 10...7 since Antonio fought him
-Delson "Pe de Chumbo" Heleno, beat Gideon Ray twice, Jake Ellenberger, Mark Miller
-Derrick "The Eraser" Noble beat Thiago Alves, Jake Ellenberger, Shonie Carter
-Carlo Prater beat Carlos Condit and lost to him, and Spencer Fisher, Pat "Bam Bam" Healy (who also beat Condit)
Antonio has said for years that promotions aren't letting him face their best because of his style and because MMA is still more entertainment than a sport.
I really don't like his fighting style and gameplan to grind out every victory from his knees in full guard with no attempt to transition, but I have always been impressed by his defense. If you look at him after every fight he hardly ever has a scratch on him.
He makes it wasy for people to hate on him, and how are you suppose to fight top 5 or top 10 guys if you never get invited to the rodeo? It's not like he has a choice on who he fights.
Most recently in his stint with the MFC, he easily won his 2 fights, but never attempted to finish....his last fight was suppose to be for the MFC Lightweight belt, but his opponent didn't make weight and he still beat him easily by smoother.
He used to compete in wrestling with Hendo and trains MMA fighters in wrestling, and his son is following in his footsteps and is a 4 time state champ.
I'm just saying he is no push over and for the past few years he hasn't been given a chance because of his boring style. But his style, in my mind, reflects the problems in the rules in MMA.
He wins using the rules, but gets no reward....in fact, promotions drop him. They should change the rules so that others can't do like Antonio does...not to take away from what he has accomplished. He was KO'd 10 years ago, and submitted 9 years ago and since then has only one decision loss to Karo 7 years ago....that is pretty damn impressive. He has cornered some great fighters over the years, but because of his style he hasn't got the chances his fellow trianing partners have.
Sucks for him, I still think he could have a chance against BJ...probably a better chance then BJ's last 2 opponents....and a better chance than Frankie Edgar has.
If you can beat BJ's wrestling, you can beat BJ. BJ has some of THE best wrestling in the business, but Antonio hasn't had a chance to showcase his talents because no one wants him.
If MMA used it's current Unified Rules and were an Olympic Sport, I could see Antonio winning gold. He never gets hurt or gets in trouble and hasn't lost in 7 years. I give respect where respect is due....boring style, don't look forward to him fighting again, but you can't take anything away from what he has done.

TO BEAU420 AND YOUR VERY LONG POST
GSP, Hendo, Randy, Chael, Kos, Cain, hell even the newcomer, Phil Davis all have outstanding wrestling and the best in their divisions, but at least all have added tools to their skillset and push the action in their fights. They dont hold down their opponents and smother them for 15minutes just to grind out a decision. Mckee is like the Tim Sylvia of the LW division: He uses his best tool to help him not lose a fight and grind out a boring decision. Every fighter i listed can do the same thing if they wanted to but at least they expand on their skills and take risks to make their fights exciting. Mckee is just a talker and always will be.
