I had to read that part twice to notice the "too" at the end. Without it, that statement would have made a WHOLE different meaning.

Wow, so many things wrong in this lol.

First of all, why would you want to take Penn down if you're not St. Pierre or Hughes
Second of all BJ is going to hit you and hit you a lot so why would he want to take you down.
Thirdly maybe you should fight a top or even close to top LW before you say
you think you can beat BJ.
I really don't think that this guy is going to have the striking defense for BJ. Does anyone?

Penn by however he feels he wants to win this fight in whatever round he feels like winning in.

I think Antonio would be a great challenge for Penn, but too bad no organization wants to hire him because he makes for extremely boring fights.

He is an amazing wrestler and striker, it would be great to see him try and take BJ down....if he could even get to him. If he could get him down, his full guard has been amazing, I mean, he never tries to move out of it, but never lets anyone out of it either.

His ground and pound isn't the best, but he always does just enough to stay in full guard and not stall long enough for the ref to stand them up.

So, using the UFC rules, if Antonio can take BJ down (which is already one of the toughest things to do...but I do think he could do it) then he could beat BJ by decision....some refs do let some ground and pound go on for too long and make no attempt to transition from full guard to any other position. In Japan this would never happen, some other referees don't let it go on for too long...one that comes to mind is one of the Hawaiian Rumble on the Rock refs....sometimes the refs the UFC uses will stand them up...other times they let it go. Might depend on the perceived damage being done.

Is BJ a better fighter, for sure, could Antonio squeak out a victory a la Jake Shields (Shields in either Rumble on the Rock 9 against Yushin Okami or Shields vs Mayhem Miller....also probably one of the reasons that Jake Shields isn't already part of the UFC) I think he could....but we'll never know, cause UFC ain't gonna sign him.

When has he demonstrated this ability against top 10 fighters? Lots of things work against inferior talent. BJ isn't just top 10, he's many levels above the other 9 in the top 10. These two shouldn't even be in the same conversation unless BJ needed a cup of coffee and McKee is getting it for him.

BJ would demolish this guy. He has never fought a top tier fighter comparable to BJ Penn. Penn is the best in the world.

he's so horrific to watch i don't think i'd want to see the fight, i doubt he would win anyways, fighting in MFC and the UFC are two different things, he basically fights the bottom of the barrel, i swore i would never watch him again after he put me to sleep while watching hdnet fights.
