But Mir is in form right now after seeing the Kongo fight although it was a quick fight. Carwin probably should've had a preparation fight before taking on a top fighter like Mir. Anyway, I'm going with Mir to win this. Carwin's been inactive for too long. And I doubt he was doing much training if any during this extended vacation.
I believe Shane was also injured. I could be wrong, though, but I swear that's what I had read awhile back shortly after the Carwin/Lesnar fight got postponed for the second time. I also believe that's why Cain faced Nog instead of Carwin. Again, though, I could be wrong.

Legendary and rather funny response ala Carwin.

I dont understand why he says that he will make all the possible to make the Mir´s dream of facing Brock come true. He doesn´t want to win the fight?

When you say biggest what are you referring to?
Because if you mean that it will be the best PPV of all time then its not true at all, if you mean that it will be the most hyped PPV then maybe yes, but I doubt it. Also dont forget that "Biggest PPV of all time" means that you are talking about all MMA, not only UFC.

Carwin seems like a respectable and humble guy. I like that but I think Mir outskills him in this fight. Carwin's a beast but Mir has put on some serious muscle too.

Sometimes I get kinda sick of Carwin and his interviews. I think he has a PR guy behind him telling him what to say.

I think Mir takes this fight. I wish his fight against Kongo would of lasted longer to showcase his stand-up but I think Cain proved that Mir's win against Big Nog wasnt fluke. If Carwin dosent connect with his power then he looses. All we have seen is that he can throw a punch, Id like to see his ground game a little more. GG didnt do much,Carwin got up fast, but I think Mir could hold him their and sub him.

I could do without Carwin's PC answers and the overall manlove for him.

I feel the exact opposite. I think he's a breath of fresh air in the sordid overhypefest.

I don't think he's PC, and I don't think he's got a publicist telling him what to do.

I think he's just not an immature mesomorph. When you look at the difference between him, Mir and lesnar, he's the only one who's held an actual real-life job instead of working out/pimping sponsors/performing for a living. I think it's brought him perspective the other two--as well as many of the melodramatic nitwits in the industry--haven't. Carwin seems to know that he's lucky to be where he is, many other athletes take their gifts for granted.

I don't think there's a person out there who hasn't said, "I'll kill ___ if I fight him." Thing is, Mir said it on record and went a little far. Carwin took it as a chance to step in and say Mir was harming the sport. He did the same thing when Brock questioned the quality of his opposition. He plays PC.

LOL, how do you win?

Go the Mir route? Pray for someone's death... fans say your a jerk.
Go the Brock route? Have a naturally given animal instinctive attitude... fans say your a jerk.
Go the Carwin route? Be humble, be respectful... fans say your a jerk! LOL I love it!

I think we have different definitions. He's not catering to any trend, he's just not being a drama queen like mir and brock [and Penn, and Tito, and rampage and Rashad, and all the other guys who get lathered up talking shit].

I think he's just being honest. I don't think he's got prepared statements; I don't think he consults with anyone, I just think he's a genuine low-key guy who lets his performances speak louder than empty words.

I'd rather listen to him all day than suffer through the spectacle [since it's generally bullshit, I guess I'd call it a shitstacle] that falls out of Mir's mouth with every soundbyte, or brocks rebuttal, or any of that nonsense.

I just am thoroughly done with posturing. These guys are apex predators. They're the last people on earth who should need to posture and front.

Sure, some of them "back it up in the cage" but for every legitimate beatdown, we get 10 tito fights where he's full of excuses, or rampage and co. reneging on bets and the rest of that shit. I don't think Carwin is being anything but 100% honest and himself; I think the rest of it--which sadly, has become the norm in the industry--is fake and empty gestures. It just reminds me of guys who don't actually want to fight, but scream insults at each other, secretly hoping their friends will hold them back.

Add to rh Carwin knows he needs his name out their and repleying to these two does just that. The big difference as rh spoke of Carwin has worked in the general sector and knows or has seen what spouting off can cost you in the work place. Between Mir and Brock they leave a lot of chances to poke at them all the while looking good about it. Brock was paid to be the villian in his acting days with WWF/WWE, so Mir should of played the good guy role, but he didn't. Either role you play if the fans let the UFC know they want to see that fight they will put it on as theirs $$$$$$ in it.
