Really? What former boxing champ does Strikeforce have under contract?
Maybe he was talking about walker.. how they signed a 40 + yr old who was a star in something other than mma

I really believe that people like Bill Murray or John Belushi are just as great and just as valid as Robert De Niro or Al Pacino. And I don't think you can say One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) is a better movie than Animal House (1978); they're different genres. I think they're both examples of great craftsmanship.
Whatever your thoughts on this Toney in the UFC he will draw a large amount of interest, headlines and money for Dana and, although i can't decide whether he should be given/deserves a shot, i will definitely be watching his debut with interest.
Maybe Beuntello first up?

That is a terrible correlation to Toney if that is what he meant. Look i don't like this guy all to much neither but to put Walker in the same boat as Toney is just ludacris. Toney was a boxer, which is an aspect of mma and he now needs some wrestling, tdd, bjj. Toney i hope just gets bulldozed but do not compare him to Walker.
Toney vs Kimbo would sell like water in the desert.
Toney vs Couture would sell like peanuts at a baseball game.
Toney vs Liddell would sell like pancakes at Ihop.
Any of the 3 fights above would be worth the investment for the UFC. From a straight business perspective it's a good move. From a perspective of legitimizing the sport it's a shitty move in my opinion. I would rather see a young up and comer get signed then an old man who will have two maybe three fights before retiring.
Toney would eat Kimbo alive. In no way whatsoever should Kimbo take a fight with Toney. If he does I hope its not to try to stand and bang with him because he can't. Toney's boxing skills are levels upon levels better than Kimbo's.
