@ Mac...did I say Strikeforce had a world boxing champion? NO....what I meant was that the UFC is becoming like Strikeforce in that they both are signing people with recognizable names just for some of that cash...
@ WhootYouGotOwened...I was talking about Walker, but in the way I explained above^...
@ The Sensational One...I totally agree that Toney is more MMA talented than Walker because of his boxing...and like you said, he just needs some good TDD to keep the fight standing...with Walker, he is not great at anything in MMA yet, he is mediocre at this point overall...

See: Lesnar and Kimbo.
And both of those guys had more of a connection to MMA before actually fighting in it than Walker.
Comparing signing Toney to signing Brock makes way more sense than Walker.

And they said Pride had Circus fights... Toney is an amazing boxer, but what has he done to prove himself as an MMA fighter? I said the same thing about Lesnar however, and now he is the Champion. This is very interesting none the less.

If that was the case the same could be said about every WRESTLER that gets signed. MMA is MIXED Martial ARTS. Boxing is also a form of that. Every fighter has a base and boxing will be Toney's. While any of us have yet to see any other forms of martial arts from him, you can not deny that the man can fight.

Comparing signing Toney to signing Brock makes way more sense than Walker. | Dude, I made sense...Strikeforce and the UFC are signing some people with recognizable names to make big money...plain and simple
the difference is that the UFC is signing fighters with potential...and Strikeforce is signing famous names with little potential...
I agree that the UFC signs fighters with at least a chance to win against tough competition...For Example: Look at where Lesnar is at and who thought Kimbo was gonna use some ground game against Alexander?
Strikeforce signed Walker for his fame in football and most likely will soon sign Conseco...
Edit: Strikeforce also signs many ex UFC fighter with recognizable names...

I'm sorry but boxing is only a fraction of striking in MMA. Factor in elbows, knees and leg kicks and Lights out is gonna be in a world of trouble. I really wouldn't be to surprised to see him get ktfo standing.

Comparing Walker to Toney is very ignorant. Walker is a 47 year with zero professional fighting experience. Toney is 41 yes but has 78 professional boxing fights. With a record of 72-6
