I'd love to see Serra fight another top tier fighter. you gotta give him some props for taking on gsp twice and doing the good job that he did against hughes. I like the sounds of Condit or Kampmann

Dang it I was looking forward to seeing this fight. I think that Swick actually grew on me so I wanted to see if he could pull this one off.

I think that April 17 card might not happen since StrikeForce might move it back if UFC put on a show. The news of his surgery was out there on MMAJUNKIE even before his supposed match up with Serra, so I suppose all these are rumors. But the fight would a good one.

This might be good for Swick, as Serra always brings it and this is certainly not a gimmie fight. I would like to see maybe Serra vs Lytle if he is free.

I agree Swick starts putting combos really fast but he leaves himself exposed you don't want to leave yourself open vs Serra

he should suck it up and drop to lightweight again. his power and boxing prowess could overwhelm a lot of top lightweights imo

The dude may be short but he is built like a stump. I think he would be more competive where he is now, his frame allows him to genertate power with his strikes ( enough to knock out the current champ at least ) and his limbs are hard to catch in a submission. He does give of up a ton of reach but he has in just about every fight he has had, including at LW.
