| Rogerio joking: "They only put easy opponents to face me (laughs)" Quote:
Rogério “Minotouro” Nogueira waited for a long time to make his UFC debut, but the huge knockout victory over Luiz Cane made it worthy. Now, the Bahia native fighter faces the former UFC light heavyweight champion Forrest Griffin. “They only put easy opponents to face me (laughs),” Nogueira jokes. “In two fights they only put tough guys, but that’s it, I’m ready”.
After becoming a father and with 18 victory in his record, Rogério knows his responsibilities and goals. “I’m more mature now, training better… I had great opportunities in my life that I couldn’t get, but this time I won’t lose them,” guarantees, ready for any challenge. “I’ll accept any fight, I won’t waste opportunities”, finished the fighter, who faces Griffin this May

i'm curious about one thing. well actually 2.
lil nog will get past forrest for sure, we all know that.
if machida loses to shogun. what will the ufc do? give lil nog the title shot next and have us a Shogun vs Lil Nog II? or if Anderson asks to fight Shogun they will give Anderson a shot?

Rua/Lil Nog II looks very sexy. I love Forrest but kinda hope he loses valiantly in order to build this fight.

I think people are righting off Forrest like vs Jackson and Shogun...
With a good plan I think he might be able to hang on with Lil Nog, if he just stands for 15 minutes he is going to get tagged alot by Lil Nog.

I really like both of these guys so it doesn't really matter to me who wins, although I'm kinda pulling for Forrest. I'm just curious to see, if Forrest manages to win, will people maybe start to give hime a little credit?

Nog's boxing is better. Ground game is probably even, so that may be Griffin's best bet. He won't have the usual huge reach and size advantage against Lil Nog, so standing up may be a bad idea. I'm not counting him out, I just think it's a bad matchup IMO.

....Anderson has stated he has no desire to fight for the LHW title. I would think they would matchup Rashad/Rampage winner with the winner of Machida/Shogun.
... I understand why Lil Nog is a huge fav in this fight, but I sure hope he takes Forrest seriously.....look what happened to Shogun. Everyone thought Forrest was gonna get murdered, and this might happen to him at the hands of Lil Nog.
