Seth Petruzelli venting frustration over signs that the Moosin event in Boston featuring Tim Sylvia vs. Mariusz Pudzianowski and himself vs. Houston Alexander is falling apart:
"now i just got the contract to fight houston alexander and they just called my manager this morning to push it back till who knows when!!!!
i am so sick of this sh*t, i am sorry to rant but i just need to get it out off my chest. i know i can compete with top level guys, and i deserve to be in the big shows. i am sick of the inconsistency of smaller shows and them always getting pushed or canceled. i want to fight every 3 months or so but this makes it impossible!!! i dont know what else to do at this point...."

What is Sylvia doing? The guy has lost all self respect taking these kinda fights and fighting for half ass promotions. He is just pissing his credibility away, and I think it is extremly sad. Seth Petruzelli on the other hand is hungry like a real fighter should be. And even though journey men like him will never make as much money or have as asuccessful of a career as a guy like Tim (Who just rides the coatails of his past for money) they can at least be proud of themselves win or lose. If your not going to put in the training, manage your weight, or take competitive fights then just bow out of the sport.

And he has to take these fights, because no one else is signing to fight him anymore. This is how fighters work their way back to the big show. And Tim fell far down the ladder.

Tim's pissed it all away big time. It was his decision to bugger off and bet the house on Affliction working out. He's not covered himself in glory since then and tbh he's getting everything he deserves for jumping ship for grass that was greener on the other side of the fence *Insert further stereotypes here*

Ok, hang on everybody. Before you put the final nail in TIMMMAAY's coffin, lets all settle down for a second. Look at some of his previous fights....
After beating Andrei Arlovski twice, and then defeating Jeff Monson, he lost to a legend, Randy Couture. After beating Brandon Vera, he fights another legend, Big Nog. He dominated him for two rounds before getting caught in a sub. How many people has Nog done that to? Then he got Zulued by Fedor. But really, who hasn't gotten their ass kicked by him? Then the Ray Mercer fight....ugly. But he bounched back with a win in his last fight.
My point is, I think Sylvia's got a few good fights left in him. Fighting Big Pud, the World's Strongest Man, on the first MMA card to take place in Boston, would have given his career a good boost. I don't know why SF doesn't sign him, I think he'ld be a great addition to their HW roster. Obviously he's got nothing for Fedor, but Lashley, Rogers, Werdum, Big Foot, etc. would be interesting fights.
As far as Petruzelli goes, I guess the rumor of the UFC offering him a contract is bs. But at least he's fighting people with some name value (Shamrock, Houston). I'm sure he's a couple wins away from getting a shot with Kimbo. I'ld be shocked if the UFC didn't play the rematch card at some point before Kimbo becomes useless to DW.

Tim and his manager should be talking to the more well established promotions. Not these fly by night one or 2 show promotions.
Arlovski signed with Strikeforce, Timmay could head there have a rematch....but probably wants one or 2 more warm up fights before that. King of the Cage promotion would be great....maybe get 2 fights there. He could get the HW belt from KOTC then use it as leverage at another promotion to get a decent contract.
A Seth rematch vs Kimbo would be great. Doubt Zuffa is going to want to sign Seth for a 4+ fight deal, and doubt Seth is willing to less than Kimbo is making.
I'd like to see Seth back in the octagon or ring. I'd like to see him get his ass kicked, but he's got some skills....and is pretty well rounded.
