ofcourse ufc ppv sales are down, their has not been a good title fight, or good meaningful #1 contendership fight in close to a year.

I guess I don't really have reason to dislike a Cruiserweight Division, I just don't want it to happen. It's just one of those things. I think there's be too many weight classes at that point that the belts would seem a little meaningless. You can't tell me that Machida or Silva wouldn't try and hold two belts at the same time.
But that's just me. Cruiserweight wouldn't be that bad.

i think the thing that might hurt the ufc on verse is the fact that directv still does not offer verses. i know i cant watch it at home, and i didnt get to watch the wec fight because of this. overall i do not think zuffa is in trouble. sure the numbers are down but i bet they still made some money. and im sure with the fights coming up here in the next couple of months the numbers will be back up. its wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too early to be throwing up red flags. almost seems like someone got tired of reading all the strikeforce is in trouble news and decided to write something about the ufc.

Zuffa learns the hard way that 50 dollars for a PPV isn't worth it to many people. Why watch it at home when you can go to the bar and get a meal and sink it with some beer for 30?

as for me the whole 50s thing doesnt really bother me because well i dont know how you go to the bar for only 30 dollars but i sure as hell cant. so the 50 to rent it and watch it with friends with food and beer at the house for me is much cheaper.

No 195 weightclass. Ever. The talent pool would just be diluted. Hell, I still think it's ridiculous that we have LW, FW, and BW. All within 20 lbs of each other. Why not have a 155 and 140? I think 15 lbs is a fair gap, ten is just worthless

^^^ If the 10 pounds is worthless why are we having 195 catchweight fights?

I think Add the WEC divisons to UFC and add Cruiser weight also More Divisons mean More Championship Fights Only And limit who can jump from weight classes Make Anderson Silva descide LHW or MW cuase every time hes in LHW his not defending his title People Want title fights, Also another idea could be as simple as 5 Round Main Events maybe the element of a 5 Round fight is more appealing to some people.
I personally dont think the UFC is in Any trouble its just got to kill off some competition i.e Stirkeforce M1 and Dream and i think they will over time

I have a couple cheap friends who would not want to go in on the beer/food. So our pub is the better option. We order in the bigger PPVs that more people want to watch. Like UFC 100 or whenever Rampage fights. Depends on my buddy with the big screen. The smaller cards, like the most recent ones, 3 of us end up drinking 1-2 pitchers and a meal each. 30 bucks.
Ordering in does end up being cheaper sometimes but we like the local pub.

Masscore is on it here.
The depth of a PPV by adding those two divisons would be huge. You could Aldo, Faber and those guys as co main events until there popularty rises. Then make them main events, if nothing else for fight night or the free PPV until they get mainstream for a casual fan
Great post Masscore
