I know for a fact there's a place in Toronto that charges a cover as I've watched an event there once. Here in NYC there's plenty of sports bars that have fights and charge entrance fee. The only place I trust to not do that is Buffalo Wild Wings, it's free but you usually sit at a table and I don't think you're allowed to simply order a drink. Even if you are, you're one of the few, I mean I train but I still eat my wings and drink my beer during UFC LOL.

Anyway, it still makes sense because from what I've seen bars that are known to have the PPVs get PACKED OUT for these events. During ufc 104 we wait two and a half hours for a table in BWW and the only reason we got a table is because my friend's name (not his but the same name) got called out and no one responded so I pushed him to claim the table.

Zuffa should add the WECs FW and BW divisions to their roster and close down the WEC.

I disagree. I think they need to keep the WEC running and turn it into a strictly minor league of MMA/UFC

Ya anytime I've ever gone it's been packed, which is why i can get away with not ordering anything. I just stand there with my half drank iced tea all night. It's usually a Boston Pizza we go to, but i've been to real bars and still never paid any cover. I didn't even know they did that.

I'm not exactly from Toronto, But it's the closest city that the americans on this board would know

They probably break even or take a loss on the PPV nights, but it still helps them because some of those customers are likely to return on non-PPV nights, plus increase the popularity of the bar even if it's only a little bit.

Definitely, UFC should add FW and BW to their stable, and cross promote with the WEC when big bad ass title fights are goin down, and bring em over to a UFC PPV card, AND add all weight classes (LW-HW) back to the WEC and use the WEC as somewhat of a developmental league for the UFC. Like how the WWE has thier developmental affiliates in florida and ohio, once guys are skilled or could be a draw, sign them up UFC contracts. Make the UFC the best of the best, where all relevant international mma fighters go.
