^^^^yep....just like Rampage said for the Grand Prix's . That's what he said they were given 2 weeks......this quite possibly could be the reason he is whining because just maybe, just MAYBE Wand was given ample time to train for the Grand Prix and the other competitor's were not ? ...this is just a theory folks, don't flame me over this......thanks.

yeah, i actually remember hearing other Pride fighters saying it was fixed for Wandy to win...I wish i could remember where. And when Quinton was on top of wandy in the first fight, kind of an unjustified stand up...Still no excuse...But seems like facts maybe?

Im not taking Rampages side but I do think he was somewhat right about fixing fights. It does seem like Wandy got stood up a lot in his fights. If he was on the ground for more then a min they always stood them up. Just my opion but I have been watching alot of old Wandy fights lately cause I really miss seeing that version of the Axe Murder.

I'm no Rampage fan (but a massive Wand fan), but I don't see anything that bad in this article, seems like some are jumping on him no real reason

I don't think it's a horrible interview, certainly no worse than others rampage has given. I think it's his perspective, and somewhere between that and someone else's perspective of what actually happened is probably the truth. It is a little amusing to see that old PRIDE > UFC/UFC > PRIDE horse still being beaten this long after it's demise.
However, I think he's overlooking the guys the UFC chooses not to promote or take care of. It's nice that dana swoops in whenever he hurts himself in training and makes it better, but there are plenty of fighters who get the same treatment in the UFC that rampage got in PRIDE. The UFC has chosen to promote rampage over other fighters, he's happy to be getting what he wanted [at least today]...but it's not as though they treat everyone as well as they treat him.
I just don't see a lot of difference between the two orgs, except for the fact that overall, UFC fans are stereotypically less respectful than PRIDE fans.

Good interview. However, I don't see a point where 'Page intimates that HIS fights with Wandy were fixed. We all know Wandy whooped that ass TWICE. Wand knows it, and Rampage knows it! I've heard Rampage say he was sick when he fought Wand (true, but a lame excuse), but I never heard him pull a BJ and accuse Wand of cheating.
Many of us express concern and outrage over fighter compensation and how the UFC treats its contracted fighters. However, when 'Page says he was disrespected and wasn't treated fairly by Pride, there's a collective ho-hum.
I'll save my ire for fighters that whine (although I love the guy, BJ and the greasing incident) and talk lots and lots and lots of shit (Chael, I'm looking at you).

I think some peoples emotions are too closely tied with their love of PRIDE to respect or notice any validity in what he said. I don't really think he's even trying to do the PRIDE vs. UFC thing; PRIDE is dead and there is no point in it anymore, maybe he's being honest about his experience in the organization? I don't see this as whining and it doesn't come off as bullshit at all, I do think that he's overlooking the fact that some of this still happens in the UFC as well but I think we also have to consider the fact that there were fighters less notable than him in PRIDE that were also worse off; I think his main point was that he was a popular fighter but wasn't recognized by the organization as such.
