I don't think it's a horrible interview, certainly no worse than others rampage has given. I think it's his perspective, and somewhere between that and someone else's perspective of what actually happened is probably the truth. It is a little amusing to see that old PRIDE > UFC/UFC > PRIDE horse still being beaten this long after it's demise.

However, I think he's overlooking the guys the UFC chooses not to promote or take care of. It's nice that dana swoops in whenever he hurts himself in training and makes it better, but there are plenty of fighters who get the same treatment in the UFC that rampage got in PRIDE. The UFC has chosen to promote rampage over other fighters, he's happy to be getting what he wanted [at least today]...but it's not as though they treat everyone as well as they treat him.

I just don't see a lot of difference between the two orgs, except for the fact that overall, UFC fans are stereotypically less respectful than PRIDE fans.

but are there really any fighters that the ufc doesnt take care of?? i mean it was only a month or 2 ago rampage himself was saying how the ufc treated him badly and didnt take care of him, now all of the sudden its yes the ufc takes care of its fighters. makes it kinda hard to believe anything that comes out of rampages mouth

What interview are you referring to? Reason I ask is because I must have missed it but would like to read and see what his thoughts were in comparison to this...

i saw it on the forum in here awhile. im at work so i really dont have time to look it up right now but you can search the forums for rampage interview and if you cant find it ill find it when i get some free time tonight or over the weekend

page is just umm full of shit id say, this guys complains about everything, people take fights on short notice who cares, its not their fault you get fat and out of shape and only train 4 fights, some fighters train all the time all year long and are always in good shape unlike you page, i use to like page but he does seem to whine alot " ufc treats me so bad blah blah blah, now its pride treated me bad?? i wanna know how much he gets each fight , can some find it and post what he makes i bet its around 200k a fight or so but they treat him bad??? some fighters get paid crap and dont cry like you page and also dont cry about having to fight certain fighters. Dam jardine fights anyone they put in front of him and he gets like 10k a fight, guys a team player unlike you, you get paid more then your worth and you cry rawwww, i do like page but sick of his mouth. aight im done yapping

maybe im being niave but i thought what rampage meant by fixing the tournament was NOT about the predetermined outcomes but the actually backeting of fighters and who fought who style wise, so that perhaps wand and sakurabi had an easier figth sytle wise in the initial rounds of the tournament, im still skeptical but it makes more sense than saying pride fixed the fights totally. but yeah rampage does whine alot nothing new here he give props to people who deserve it and take shots at those that he feels made him look like a fool at times. im far mroe upsetwith rampage over his real life rampage than any of the stuff he says about mma orgs and professionals who likely were alittle shady at times.

Rampage just isn't that smart. You hear him speak the way he speaks, and he just sounds very unintelligent. I like him, I like the way he fights, but he just seems dumb. He should stick to movies now that his hearts out of fighting.

I don't see how you could think he is whining. He was asked a question and he answered. It's not like he wrote a blog about how Pride screwed him over.

And why you have to bring up BJ? I thought that was done with. You don't find it just a little weird how before "Greasegate" GSP passed Serra and BJ's guard like it was nothing(both guys being known for there incredible guard, especially BJ's being a BJJ World Champion) and then after "Greasegate" he can't even pass Thiago Alves' guard? I just find that weird.

Anyway, yeah, I don't think Rampage is whining. He has no reason to. Pride is gone. And he got the last laugh on Wandy.

I actually also read that interview some months ago where rampage compalained a lot about UFC. He said that he has done for UFC much more than UFC has done for him. And he said other things not very nice about the organization.
