They are also completely strip-mining any value that Rich Franklin has as a draw with this long succession of meaningless fights. If Anderson Silva ends up moving up to light heavyweight, it will all have been for naught.
| Why is this a meaningless fight? It's going to be held at 205, and I think it's a good fight at this stage in both fighters careers.

| Quote: MMAjunkie.com has learned from sources close to the promotion that the two have verbally agreed to face each other in June at UFC 115, though contracts have yet to be finalized.
The Franklin vs. Liddell matchup was first reported by Fighters Only magazine, though the U.K.-based publication pinned the fight to a rumored April 17 UFC Fight Night card that now seems increasingly unlikely to occur.
Those same sources suggested that Franklin was possibly brought in as a replacement coach to finish out the season's filming, and "Ace" now meets Liddell as an opposing "TUF" coach..
| just been updated from the source.... Updated: Chuck Liddell vs. Rich Franklin Reported for UFC 115 - Bloody Elbow

WOW weirdness galore. The only thing I can guesstimate for Tito's absence is legal issues. There were rumours before about backstage antics that messed up the shows filming a bit. knowing the pasts between chuck dana and tito I could honestly believe something physical happened to one or all three of them and some form of legal action has taken place, which would make sense of all of this, but until we really know this is all speculation.
As for the liddell franklin fight, i'm stoked. I'm way happier to see Chuck fight Franklin then Ortiz for a third time, are you kidding me. this will be exciting. It will either be a tko for chuck or a decision victory for franklin. we shall see we shall see
